  1. It is rainy and cold outside. I want to stay home, paint, and listen to music. But, alas, I have things to do!
  2. I have never listened to any of their albums all of the way through, but have heard songs off of several of them. I certainly have fond memories of the songs from "Toxicity" that they used to play on the radio, though - they got me into playing the guitar!
  3. Brutal is definitely the word I would use to describe them, and they push this aspect of their music farther than anyone I have heard. I haven't listened to any of their albums all of the way through, but have listened to several songs. I don't dislike them, but I think that I have to warm up to their sound a bit more. "They Often See Dreams About the Spring" - Drudkh I think I spoke too soon about there being no warmth in their new album. It is still there, but not to the extent of their previous, more atmospheric releases. As I listen to it more, it sounds to be a blending of their old sound with more traditional cold Black Metal. It sounds most like their Windswept releases to me. "Exercises in Futility" - Mgla "Folkfuck Folie" - Peste Noire
  4. What are your thoughts on this band? On one hand I find their material cool, but part of me also thinks that it is somewhat over the top.
  5. "They Often See Dreams About the Spring" - Drudkh
  6. "Hliðskjálf" - Burzum "Starved" - Starved
  7. Kalmah is cool - really great guitar work. I have not listened to them for a while though.
  8. I have only listened to it once, but it no longer has the warm earthiness of their previous albums. It is closest to "A Furrow Cut Short." Horna/Peste Noire split
  9. "They Often See Dreams About the Spring" - Drudkh "Das Tor" - Paysage d'Hiver "Tiefe" - Paysage d'Hiver
  10. These are some sounds that I could get behind. I will have to spend some time going through these videos.
  11. My copy of the new Drudkh album finally arrived!
  12. "Rance Black Metal de France" - Peste Noire
  13. Most of Burzum's material is pretty good (I am a huge fan). I will have to check out the Wormlust album.
  14. Oldenhelm is a great Dungeon Synth project. Honestly, I am new to the genre myself also. Wormlust sounds interesting. Any recommendations on which release is the best starting point?
  15. So you like some of the more ambient bm? Do you listen to any Dungeon Synth?
  16. "Fuckfolk Folie" - Peste Noire
  17. "Eastern Frontier in Flames" - Drudkh "Ragnarok (A New Beginning)" - Burzum
  18. Welcome! What genres do you like the best?
