  1. "Phalenes et Pestilence - Salvatrice Averse" - Peste Noire
  2. For some reason, I thought that they had already reissued it. I need to keep a closer eye on them.
  3. "Litourgiya" - Batushka "Eastern Frontier in Flames" - Drudkh
  4. Hopefully they will. However, they are still touring (South America next I think). Hopefully they will come to the US soon, as I would still like to see them live.
  5. After several years with no new music and only constant touring, I am starting to wonder if Batushka wants to be in this category.
  6. I have been listening to some Peste Noire songs recently. I am really liking them - will have to track down some of their albums.
  7. "Sketchbook" - Tom Griesgraber "Ragnarok (A New Beginning)" - Burzum "Long Lost Relics of Power" - Oldenhelm (This is some really great Dungeon Synth, I would highly recommend it.)
  8. I found this today, and enjoyed it a lot.
  9. "Exercises in Futility" - Mgla "Wolf's Lair Abyss" - Mayhem
  10. I am recording new music. A second demo may be on the horizon...
  11. It makes you wonder where your taxes all go to...
  12. I probably will be soon... I just ordered something else today.
  13. I just preordered the new Windwept ep.
  14. So true. I just spent money on my latest order, and before I have even received it I want to purchase something else.
  15. Contributing to the metal genre is different from contributing to the metal community as you discussed above. I agree wholeheartedly that the borderline bands are not very significant musically. However, helping to grow a fanbase seems to be intrinsically good for a community. Thus I would say that they do have value.

    Ignore my past comment!
  17. A band can make nonmusical contributions to a music community though. Many of these bands represent gateways into metal (even if they are not metal themselves). I know some of those borderline rock/metal bands got me started.
  18. "Eastern Frontier in Flames" - Drudkh
  19. I listen to death metal very rarely, so it does not surprise me that I missed a trend. I will have to look into it.
  20. Cool tracks. I have never heard of "dissonant DM" before.
  21. "Tides of Emptiness" - Tides of Emptiness I only listened to the first track, but this is really good.
