  5. So Behemoth just released a four track EP named A Forest (with a cover from The Cure of the same name). Track Listing 1. A Forest (feat. Niklas Kvarforth) 2. A Forest (feat. Niklas Kvarforth) Live 3. Shadows Ov Ea Cast Upon Golgotha 4. Evoe As a die-hard Behemoth fan I'm kind of disappointed with A Forest, Niklas' vocals seem kind of distracting and over the top; and I can't help but feel that Nergal could have done a better job at it. The musicality of the cover is fantastic though, and I feel that it would have been a better rendition with a different vocalist. (Any suggestions?). I wouldn't stop listening to it because of the vocals, but it could have been something more. The latter part of the EP is far superior. It's fast, thrashy and dark; keeping in Behemoth's themes. All in all I'm kind of torn on how I would rate it, have you guys listened to it? What did you think?
  6. Hi everyone, I'm Ash and I'm a musician, incredibly infatuated with metal music and I regularly write and record music. I joined the forum because none of my social circle share the same passion for metal that I do; and also I'm looking for a vocalist too. My favourite bands are Behemoth, Children of Bodom (earlier albums), Mastodon, Gojira, Avenged Sevenfold, Cannibal Corpse, Sinergy.. And a whole load more! Love me some squiggly wiggly guitar licks, and heavy af riffs too!
  7. Hi all, I've been writing and recording a bunch of tracks and decided to start a new project using these songs. I've managed to write, record, mix etc. all the guitars, and programmed the drums and bass parts myself. I'm incredibly amateur when it comes to recording and mixing too. Only trouble is I can't sing at all! If you're a vocalist and would like to be a part of this, listen to the tracks and send me a message. I wouldn't mind some constructive feedback on what I've accomplished so far too; not just on the tracks themselves but the overall production quality too. Take five minutes and have a listen. http://Soundcloud.com/robinspawn Thanks everyone, hope you're all safe in this weird world!
  8. What's up, guys! So, I'm looking for a metal singer (doesn't matter gender) to be a part of a project that I'm working on. I'm a composer, I have 7+ songs made and I wanted someone to be the voice of my music. Also if you know how to write good lyrics because I suck at writing. I'm hoping on making a online project to post on youtube, a music channel. I want to make as an online project because I can't find anyone who have the same goals where I live, so I'm looking on the internet for some people to do this. I'll link here two of my original songs that I recorded https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-JA5yF3Kko https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GXX9uwPPlc
  9. Debut album from Midgenuun, due for release very soon! I had the pleasure of writing the lyrics for this project and I'm very excited to hear the final product. The link takes you to a preview of War Without End. More to follow soon.

  11. its been quite a while since i've done any projects, and i'm getting back in to writing/recording. Could really use a drummer or even an electronic drum programmer who can write tracks using cubase or fruity loops or something like that...let me know if interested at all..This is really my biggest passion in life and i would absolutely love nothing more than to get some full tracks produced and see where it goes...( i guess i didnt mention, i'll be playing and recording guitar) Here's a track i did some time ago..I'm not the greatest drum programmer/writer and i've revised the song and made it way more tech..so this is old and just a draft, but you can still get some idea of my style i guess.. link: https://clyp.it/nbvi551b PLEASE message me if interested at all, im in USA by the way, but doesnt really matter.

  16. Hello People! My name is Pitty666 and i am from (Not so doomed) Germany I started playing guitar in 2003. I've learned it on my own but mostly just for fun and nothing special. I Quickly came into a point that i didn't see any progress or good sounding stuff. So i let my guitar rest for good 16 years. Then In 2019, some dark strange spirits came over me. My dedication for Metal Music was grown to such an high level, that i decided to pick up my guitar again. I turned my old B.C. Rich Warlock Speedloader into a custom made Warlock, with a brand new Floyd Rose and regular tuning mechanics. I took my old 5 Watt Marshall amp by side and finally joined the "Orange Club" with the 15 Watt Rocker 15 combo amp. The Sound was awesome but all i know was playing by tabs. I wanted to play my own music.I wanted to show the music, that is in my head and share the feelings it delivers to me with other people. So i decided to learn how music is made and all about Scales Shapes and Modes. I was looking for the dark stuff u know.... For recording i've ordered the basic kit for 2019 times i think: - Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 -SHURE SM57 mic -Mackie CR4 speaker I work with Cubase 5 on Windows 10 So far.. I hope to find some People here to have a talk about making/recording music on an basic and simple level. There is one Track on Youtube i've made. i will drop the link, in the right corner of this forum soon. -Pitty666

  18. Hello everybody, If you could spare a few moments to answer some questions for my university dissertation that would be amazing. It would be great to get some responses from people in this forum as I feel you are the audience I need to ask. The questions are based around your thoughts of gender in heavy metal music. Follow the link to my survey! Cheers! https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdDFmZKkLzNGdW_bHM4cnRXvZtm-SIBqEtyh-Htg4jhVDfpyg/viewform?usp=sf_link

  20. Hello guys my name is Svilen, and I created a new quiz game for android it's called: Metal general quiz. The game is new so you won't be able to find it on google play by simply typing the name so I suggest you to use the url https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.svileniordanov.metalknowledgequiz. The game contains 48 questions for different bands like the bands from the big four, Rage against the machine, Lamb of god, Five fingers death punch, Godsmack and Motorhead. I will add more levels and if you want to see something tell me and I will add it. The reason for this application is that I could not find a quiz that can check my real knowledge about the bands and so I created one. It's not just the songs you should know, you have to know about the members of that band some important years also. You can download it and check it, and if you have any questions you can send then to [email protected] I will read them and improve the game.
  21. Greetings, My band is looking for a guitarist for an experimental/progressive extreme metal band. Bands influences are Ihsahn, Leprous, Ne Obliviscaris, Blotted Science, Death, etc... Guitarist is to be experienced, reliable, has the ability to record and use online tools, we're all from different countries (UK, USA, South Africa, Lebanon) and are looking forward to releasing our first album in mid 2021. ~ Long Term ~ May have to travel for live performance. Thank you. - Mike
  22. Our band Horizon Eyes is currently looking for additional members for writing & recording. We are a prog/deathcore band. The current lineup consists of myself-vocals, drums & production vlad-rhythm guitarist desmond-lead guitarist & bass(only until we find a bass player) we‘re looking for one more guitarist, a keyboard/piano/synth player, Bassist, & possibly a drummer. Although we are doing fine on our own & don’t ‚need‘ any new members, we for sure aren’t against it & with the right person, could actually benefit us quite a bit. currently we communicate through discord & ocassionaly E-Mail. We write in guitar pro, then make a superior drummer midi, record guitars, then bass, then vocals then start production. We have 3/6 instrumentals about 90% done of the current music we are working on & can show examples if interested. our ‚influences‘ are bands like spiritbox, Emmure, veil of maya, Whitechapel, etc.
