I had only listened to Autumn Aurora once before and was very happy with my decision after I had listened to it again. it is definitely one of their best. What is the album in the upper left? I had come across it before and remember thinking that it looked interesting. Is it any good?

I am considering purchasing new picks, but am unsure of what to get. What kind of picks are best for black metal tremolo picking?

Dissection has melodic death influence, and they are really good. Especially songs like "Where Dead Angel Lie" and "The Somberlain."

Look into Drudkh's Songs of Grief and Solitude. The entire album is acoustic.

Freezing Moon I think Furrow of the Gods has one that is good Ea Lord of the Depths is simple but good I post more if I think of any.

Where did you get the 2 cd set? It sounds interesting.

Technically, my first album was Metallica's black album. The first that I bought was Emperor's Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk.

I would definitely say that Marduk is the better of the two (though I like Dark Funeral a lot). I think that Marduk has been able to put out a relatively diverse range of song sounds while Dark Funeral seems to generally sound the same throughout their albums.

Hello! Lots of black metal bands, especially Emperor and Burzum.

I am not sure if this is the right place to post, but I was hoping to get some critique on some of the bm songs that I am writing. I only have guitar parts for now. I am specifically looking for tips on how to add more depth and complexity to my songs. I am trying to go after a sound inspired by Burzum and Drudkh, but would like to incorporate some aspects of drone metal. Here are links to the tabs.
