Hello everyone. I am new to this forum (and forum positing in general) I've been listening to bands like nokturnal mortum, emperor, shylmagoghnar etc - along with some less "black" metal bands on and off for over a decade. nokturnal mortum and emperor are life long loves of mine in particular. I had a death metal phase for a while too - gorotted, gorgasm, dying fetus, pig destroyer, black dahlia murder, etc... Whereas I think my own relationship with death metal was a reflection of a certain time in my life (I don't enjoy it so much as I used to) - black metal seems to have a timeless qu

Hello People! My name is Pitty666 and i am from (Not so doomed) Germany I started playing guitar in 2003. I've learned it on my own but mostly just for fun and nothing special. I Quickly came into a point that i didn't see any progress or good sounding stuff. So i let my guitar rest for good 16 years. Then In 2019, some dark strange spirits came over me. My dedication for Metal Music was grown to such an high level, that i decided to pick up my guitar again. I turned my old B.C. Rich Warlock Speedloader into a custom made Warlock, with a brand new Floyd Rose and regular tuning m

Our band Horizon Eyes is currently looking for additional members for writing & recording. We are a prog/deathcore band. The current lineup consists of myself-vocals, drums & production vlad-rhythm guitarist desmond-lead guitarist & bass(only until we find a bass player) we‘re looking for one more guitarist, a keyboard/piano/synth player, Bassist, & possibly a drummer. Although we are doing fine on our own & don’t ‚need‘ any new members, we for sure aren’t against it & with the right person, could actually benefit us quite a bit. currently we communic

Hello there! Sorry for my English: it's not my first language, so I can make horrible for you, native speakers, mistakes. You've been warned! 😂 So, here's the deal: I'm a self-taught guitarist. I've been playing for something like 7 years by now, but... It was hit or miss to be fair... I'm good enough to play different songs by tabs, have a passable skill of understanding some songs by ear (but I wouldn't count on that if we are sincere), can follow the metronome, fell the beat, but my knowledge of music theory sucks. I can write in Guitar Pro, for example, making right timings between

I'm a Minnesotan musician of many different genres, but one of them is Prog Metal (heavily inspired by the likes of Tool), and I finally got around to finishing a track in that vein. So, without further adieu, I present to you an Undefined original: Polaris. (Footnote: all art, productions, compositions, and performances are arranged and recorded by myself unless otherwise noted.) Enjoy!! --Ryan s

Behold, the 'industrial metal' project - Military Industrial Complex. An invocation of the brutal machinations of the war machine, exhorting it's gleeful offering of human life and endless toil. Rejoice, as the enemies of this industry are crushed beneath the weight of trillions of dollars of military research. Watch the feeble fall before the might of the empire, backed by the rituals of the damned, sacrificing the mob for the benefit of the ruling elite. Here, we have woven occult understandings and psychological truth with the grinding force which drives the war machine to create

Hello I'm Darryl from Mauritius, I'm having some difficulty in choosing between these guitars: Chapman Guitars ML1 Standard Modern Lunar - $439 Jackson Pro Misha Mansoor HT7 FMCB - $659 Solar Guitars A2.7WHM - $678 Everyone of those has an ebony fretboard. The Chapman although cheaper, has a pretty decent sound. Was thinking of the Solar maybe?

I need some serious help, I’ve been trying to find the green Ibanez rg 8 string guitar that Justin Lowe used. I understand he had some custom work done like the neck, color, and tone killswitch, but I really just want to find the exact model he built on. I can’t seem to find any specific article on it, and all Ibanez’s website says is he used rg model. Thank you in advance!

I've been thinking a lot recently about how much more I enjoy the tonal qualities of older albums (specifically guitar) and why modern metal just doesn't have the same feel. The best example I have of this is Metallica. Their first 4 albums have a fucking HUGE, KILLER tone that just fills a room and shakes the Earth. But now listening to Hardwired...it just felt so blah because the tone had no grit to it. This video helps explain what I mean: Does anybody else feel this way? Is it a result of digital recording? Is it a result of using modelling amps and DAWs? I kno
