The other video on the channel is inspired by Make Them Suffer's Vortex.

  4. We are going to start an online radio station dedicated to Metal music of all sorts. But in order to do that we need to gather some info, so we have built this survey just for that purpose: https://goo.gl/forms/GDlVxsXiiyHAs1v33 The survey will help us understand what the metal community (you) wants, and will show us the best way to deliver content to you. If you have a new band and you want to have some songs featured in the future, you can write down songs/albums/links in the suggestion tab in the survey. We will think about it and contact you back when we will get started to discuss legal/copyright stuff. Feel free to share this survey, really... we don't mind. Thanks for your time!

  6. For instance, I know a lot of people don't particularly love deathcore, but I think Aversions Crown does an awesome job of being b00tal with melody, while maintaining technical playing that's great to pay attention to. Any other albums/bands/songs you like that fall in to a genre people often don't think of positively? Exhibit A:
  7. Hail all metal fans just register at this forum I hope you guys not mind . I'm promote new t-shirt store of mine name: ERASE STORE you can check it out at: www.erasestore.bigcartel.com thank you for your attention hail METAL
  8. I've been thinking a lot recently about how much more I enjoy the tonal qualities of older albums (specifically guitar) and why modern metal just doesn't have the same feel. The best example I have of this is Metallica. Their first 4 albums have a fucking HUGE, KILLER tone that just fills a room and shakes the Earth. But now listening to Hardwired...it just felt so blah because the tone had no grit to it. This video helps explain what I mean: Does anybody else feel this way? Is it a result of digital recording? Is it a result of using modelling amps and DAWs? I know some bands actually managed to keep the gritty tone, like Testament. Now I know this isn't a problem with like Black Metal etc, as keeping production to a minimum is a key point of the genre's sound... But does anyone else feel this way? Do others prefer modern metal guitar tone?

  15. Obviously we all know the Big 4 of thrash. Just curious what people think of as the equivalent bands of other styles of metal. As an example, here are my metalcore "Big 4" (in no particular order): 1. Killswitch Engage 2. Unearth 3. August Burns Red 4. All That Remains Love to hear what everybody thinks!
  16. I have some death metal cds and LP's I'm looking to sell. All are never played and brand new, some still factory sealed. Check it out at the link...thanks! https://www.discogs.com/seller/maslayer
  17. I had the misfortune of seeing nails perform this weekend. This band epitomizes bro culture. It’s like someone found four brain damaged football players and channeled their retardation into derivative, vision less music. Their unimaginative songs and limp groin thrusting would make them completely forgettable if not for their diva attitudes and childlike whining. When their bowels fail them, as their intellect and ability to play music already have, i suggest they charge their fan base of angry white boys to have shit smeared in their ears since the experience will likely be the same.
  18. Hey Guys, I recently finished writing a progressive Metal EP called 'Normality Paralysis'. I would be honoured if anyone took the time to listen to it. You can listen to it here: Alternatively, if you don't like/use youtube, you can listen to it on spotify, itunes, google music and a billion more platforms!

  20. I'm a serious drummer looking for a serious touring metal band. I am looking for a band that will be making money from touring. I do need to make at least enough money to pay my monthly bills. But, my goal is to make a great living touring and recording not just make ends meet. I know this can be done with the right people. I'm looking for a band that is professional and that is ready to start writing and recording music then jump into touring or that has preexisting original material that I can learn so we can get on the road. I am based in the Northern Virginia area. But as long as the band is making money through touring so I can cover all my expenses travel from my area to yours for rehearsals should not be an issue. A bit about myself: I've been playing drums for 23 year's. My style of drumming is like a combo of Vinnie Paul (Pantera), Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater), Gavin Harrison (Porcupine Tree) and Dave Weckl (Chick Corea Band). I pull from my influences while striving to have my own voice as a musician. So that means that I work to create unique beats and fills as well as pulling from the metal beats and fills that I also love. I am also a Christian. So I have to be comfortable with the band's lyrics and content. I can't play behind anything anti-Christian and I can't play behind any lyrics with cursing in them. I am completely good with playing in a band with people with any beliefs as long as there is mutual respect amongst all the members. I just have to be able to stand behind what I put my name on and am associated with. Some of my influences are: Pantera, Deftones, Living Sacrifice, Zao, He Is Legend, Extol, Norma Jean, Metallica, Megadeth, Sepultura, Faith No More, Dream Theater, Porcupine Tree, Cannibal Corpse, to name just a few. Here are some clips of my playing. This is a cover. I played it pretty close to the original recording. https://youtu.be/z_ClsciMIBo This is some live footage with an original band that I was in. https://youtu.be/WsGFJoU_6m8 If you are looking for a serious drummer that is easy to get along with and that is committed to playing metal full time for a living please get in touch with me with some examples of your music. Thanks
  21. Hey all! Like the title says, just wondering who'd be interested in getting a free CD? Recorded and released my own EP, Between The Lies - Compulsive Depressive, and rather than send it to radio stations and wait forever to be rejected because I'm unsigned, I figure I'll send it to metalheads direct! I'm not sure how to prove my legitimacy or any of that? (If you guys have suggestions, or I can be verified by a moderator??) But you can check out my bandcamp and facebook etc here. www.betweenthelies.bandcamp.com and www.facebook.com/betweentheliesAUS Have a listen and see if you wanna grab a copy! As far as music goes I suppose you'd say there's elements of thrash/death/groove, but I like to think of them as good songs that happen to be heavy. If you like what you hear, or wanna wait and receive a CD, lemme know by a PM. I hail from Australia, and more than happy to send around the world! Happy to receive CD's of your band/or what ever you think is dope, too! Cheers, ReblMunk
