  1. Well, we can´t all like everything. I find it interesting how Batushka has been speculated having members from ie. Mgla and Behemoth, quite possibly just clever marketing with the identity bullcrap. I don´t know what it is about the combination with Batushka, that just hits me in the right spots.. it just does (musically, don´t care about other stuff). Most who i´ve seen criticising the band usually seem to blame the 3 things i mentioned.

  5. I think there's a difference here between "bashing threads" and other members absolutely having the freedom to express if they don't like something. Whilst I can see you point of view Deathstorm (and I agree the threads should stay on topic wherever possible) there has to be that opportunity for all users of the forum to freely express their opinions, whether we all agree with them or not. I "bashed" Avenged Sevenfold in the "50 Most Influential Artists..." thread the other day so we are all capable of it. There's absolutely nothing wrong with you liking a band that someone else doesn't, it is what makes the forum and metal music in general interesting. I see nothing wrong here with anyone's behaviour and as a moderator I welcome you to highlight any instances where you feel another member is being inappropriate and we as a mod team will look at them on an individual basis and act accordingly when necessary.

  6. I suppose that pretty much confirms it´s not true.

  7. I actually thought the same, but have yet to do it myself. I will look into it. Looking at the tour dates, it seems plausible but unlikely. While they are all in Europe around the same time, they are in different countries.

  8. The thing is, metal especially tends to raise a bit of an "elitist" sort of attitude from some people.. It is a genre with a lot of ideological elements. It is also a genre which has evolved from being a niche and rebellious thing to partially a mainstream thing. It´s like theres 2 sides to metal. To some people such things as integrity, originality and being true to the roots of different metal genres are hugely important, and it´s imo a worthy cause to ask for your music. To others it´s more of a feeling thing, if a song makes you headbang, raises emotions and just gives you the effect you wish thats enough. The way to deal with it, is to just accept it really. If someone absolutely hates a band you love, it doesn´t make the band any worse for you right? There is really no reason to be touchy about viewing things differently, or having completely different opinions. To me, what you hate is as integral part of you as are the things you love, and i would prefer the ability to express both freely. Of course senseless bashing just for the sake of it is bit silly.

    Hello

Hello and thanks Traditional Brazilian folk music. Yes, it is. You should listen to Arandu Arakuaa, they sing in Tupi, one of the originals Brazilian languages. There is a band from my city that is really good too, its called Cangaço, they mix metal with forró, traditional northeast music. Hope you like Thanks a lot Its almost impossible not to love, hum? <3

  10. Their entire sound can be summed up as "Mgla ripoff with 100x more gimmickry".

  11. 41. Mercyful Fate - Don't Break the Oath One has to wonder what proper metal compendium would lack this album and this band. Hailing from Denmark, this band's brand of heavy metal not only had an atmosphere rooted in the occult but had the musical substance to back it up. Whether it be the infectious rhythms from bassist Timi Hansen and drummer Kim Ruzz, the dramatically sinister melodies and epic solos conjured by guitarists Hank Shermann and Michael Denner or the monumentally spectral voice of King Diamond himself, this album has something that every fan of heavy metal will love. The superb composition and immersive atmosphere of Don't Break the Oath goes on to influence bands to this very day and makes it totally worthy of this list.

  14. Hopeful Batushka will finally put something new out, but I seriously doubt it. I would hope for a new Drudkh release as well (on cd, not an extremely limited vinyl or cassette). Anyone have a list of new albums coming out next year? I saw one for 2017 a while ago, and wonder if there is a new one on the internet somewhere.
