"Estrangement" - Drudkh

Honestly, I really like the post-Euronymous Mayhem.  I was introduced to the band with "Chimera," and it is still one of my favorite albums.  I think that "Grand Declaration of War" was also really good because it was something completely different from anything else they (or any other bm band, really) had done before.

Why anyone here would want this is beyond me.

Oh man, I'm just reading through the 'Antichrist' inlay and there are some absolutely cracking hilarious moments going on here. Here are some of my favourites:
"Infernus will hereby declare his neverending gratefulness to the great and skillful musicians for whom without this album wouldn't have turned out as satisfying as it did." I usually have more class than to mock people's second language, but this is hilarious in its attempted pomp. 
"Frost - Total destruction of wooden coffins (and cymbals)". haha, the drums are described as wooden coffins, and Frost totally destroys them. With cymbals in brackets. 
And this one tops the charts:
"He will also use this great opportunity to congratulate, and say thanx to himself for doing his mesmerizing electric guitarsolos, hunting the Christians, writing his poetry of Darkness and Satan, for raping the nuns and kicking the lambs of christ in the head, and for the melodyarrangements." He thanks himself for hunting the christians hahahaha. 
I never noticed all this before, but it's gold. Black metal. It's the genre that keeps on giving. 
 

Agreed. Especially in regards to the arts. 

Hmm, I guess that's less strange than I thought it would be. Dave Mustaine is a born-again neo-conservative whack job, so I'm not surprised that he's an O'Reilly fan.

I have only one that is a current theme in my life anyway. I try to identify the path that genuinely makes me happy and also follow it to the fullest. It´s kind of something that sounds obvious, but it can be hard to really nail what you and you alone want from your life.

Mine:
Improve my painting skills. Record/write music. Find new bands to listen to/listen to more old bm.

My girls dig it, they always have. Doom seems to grab both girls attention when I play it, but Winter seems more interested in black metal, and Autumn more in death metal. Both have enjoyed heavy, thrash, and power metal with me, but that seems to be more hit or miss. Music videos with the black metal musicians scare Winter a bit, so I avoid those, but she loves the music. Saturday morning has often started by having her crawl into bed and wake me up by asking "daddy, can we listen to black metal music together?" I'm beaming just writing about this, it's such a cool thing to share with the most important people in the world to me.
