  1. A lot of great bands there! Hope you enjoy your guitar.
  2. Greetings! It's mostly noise and power electronics for me right now. Do you play any music yourself?
  3. Greetings! What arts are you interested in?
  4. A little noisier is never a bad thing! I think some cybergrind carries over to Reek too, even though they want to call it "industrial."
  5. I have been meaning to get into this project more after hearing them compared to Reek of the Unzen Gas Fumes. How is this one?
  6. It's not my favorite, though I have a soft spot for System of a Down on rare occasions. I think the hate probably stems from the genre's adoption of a more commercial/rock/rap sound. The people who hate it the most are probably those who are also very concerned about remaining in the "underground."
  7. If it is with SW, then I think I should be able to find it! From what I have heard, the split with Evil is pretty good to (at least the Evil side, that is).
  8. I really need to get over it and check his stuff out more seriously. I have liked the few tracks that I have heard.
  9. I keep meaning to check this band out, but the drama surrounding the limitation keeps pushing me away! Some of his stuff recently sold for over $1000 on discogs not long ago.
  10. Out of curiosity, did they release any lyrics from this?
  11. Cool! I need to finally get some patches for my jacket (which has been sitting, patch-less in my closet for the past few years).
  12. That's my thought too. I don't go to the album for a well-put-together whole (as I would Filosofem, for instance), but to listen to/treat it as a compilation of great tracks.
  13. Haha! I have to do this every other week it seems!
  14. And NOT on the carpet!
  15. XE - Victory cd XE - Past Atrocities 2cd
  16. Thanks, I never thought of youtube!
  17. I want to say that I like Japanese horror (I like a lot of Japanese things actually), but I have never been able to see the originals because my local libraries don't have copies. Still, I think the American remakes are excellent movies in their own right.

Also, it's probably worth posting here that I just finished season two of Castle Rock, and it was amazing. Though the backstory of Annie Wilkes was far more tragic than scary.
  19. Probably my two most favorite horror movies of all time, though Sinister was great too.

I did! Amazing film and lighting!
  21. I don't think I have ever managed to listen through the entirety of Esoteric Warfare, while I have for Ordo ad Chao. I didn't like the few tracks that I had heard, and didn't think the rest was really worth my time. I guess you are right that an album like that would edge out as being worse when compared with an album that is utterly forge table yet tolerable.
  22. It is interesting that they would go for a more raw sound on a full length than the demo! I will have to give it a listen sometime soon.
  23. Not just lyrics, though. Sometimes the negativity extends to cover art too sometimes. I suppose that I am pushing the boundaries of the discussion, though, as my response was at least partly referring to power electronics/noise music as well (stuff like Xenophobic Ejaculation or Zyklon SS). I think that Drudkh is a highly political band, and their political views seems to come out at least partly through their music itself. However, I never really considered their music to be negative - it seems too romantic and warm for that. In terms of metal, I was thinking about stuff along the lines of Konflict (whose music videos consisted of clips of various bombings/gunfights from the Sri Lanakan civil war) or Catasexual Urge Motivation (with pictures of gore/corpses as album art). Sometime the negativity seems too strong to just dissolve into the music.
