True. I have seen enough ghost documentaries covering otherwise credible hauntings that found no evidence.

7/10 I like the vocalist a lot. It sounds like there are some effects placed on his voice (I think?). I do not care for the guitar tone. It sounds too dissonant and monotonous. I would prefer it with some more treble. I do not find the riffs particularly interesting. Nothing much seems to happen, but they fail to achieve any great atmosphere. The last minute of the song has a really nice atmosphere and solo.

I guess that this just brings up one of the original questions again. Why does this extreme form of art so appealing to some while alienating to many others? Also, what do you refer to when you say "occult?"

Just because something is new does not entail that it is in any way better (or more worthy of attention) than something that is old. Just as anticipation of the future can bring new advents to music (and anything really), so can reexamination of the past.

I actually liked it way more than I thought that I would. I particularly enjoyed the first two tracks. I am not sure how I feel about Striborg yet. Part of me really likes it. I think that I need to listen to some more of his work. He produced so much stuff that I am not sure where to start!

Probably correct, but you never know, it might make a difference for a few.

Those are some of my favorite bands as well. Especially Mayhem, Emperor, and Burzum (the best)!

I had listened to some of their stuff a while ago on Pandora. It never did that much for me back then, and I didn't really have an interest in them until a few days ago. A guy came into the place that I work at with a Carpathian Forest shirt, and that reminded me of them again. I think I will try to listen to it later today.

8/10 I like the riffs, and the tone of the guitars and drums sound nice. The vocalist's voice matches the music well also. I thought the solo was especially good. It had a nice balance of fast shredding and movement.
