"Der Große Tod" - Absurd I could never get into "Kill 'em All." I always preferred "Master of Puppets" and the Black album over the rest of their material. I think I just never really cared for the sound of their early vocals.

10/10 I love Batushka - one of the most consistently enjoyable albums that I own. The guitar tone and riffs, when matched with their vocals produces some of the most unique and fascinating dichotomies in black metal.

I loved this album, but do not listen to it as much as I should (it is the only of their albums that I own). I think what made it so enjoyable for me was its blend of aggressive speed and heavy, deliberate, and slow passages. You forgot to mention "To the Death's Head True" - one of their best songs (in my opinion). Despite this, I agree that Frontschwein was their best work. So many amazing riffs, and simply phenomenal vocals.

"Autumn Aurora" is probably their best work, as well as "Blood in Our Wells." I would also highly recommend the "Eastern Frontier in Flames" compilation of some of their eps.

Cool to see Zuriaake on your list. I only heard of them a few months ago, but was impressed by what I heard. No Drudkh?

I wasn't as impressed with the track that he released for his new album as I had been with some of his older material. Would you recommend looking into the album more?

And posting Baise Ma Hache isn't? I just picked that song because I had not heard the alternate version before, and thought that others might find it interesting. I must say that I prefer the above version to the album one, however. I like the longer acoustic opening. 10/10 Awesome riffs and vocals. Nice high guitar tone, and the vocalist's voice matched the music perfectly.

Has anyone listened to the Ha Elm Zalag bootleg? Emperor apparently took the opening riff of Ye Entrancemperium off of one of the unfinished tracks on the album.

Good point, I will have to go find one sometime soon (preferably with the Dore illustrations!).

"Dead" - Filicide

I will keep an eye out for the demonology book - it sounds interesting! Paradise Lost is a book that I have been wanting to read, but I imagine that it is very difficult to get through. I would think that it would require some reference material to understand it completely. I would highly recommend the Dao De Jing. It is very interesting, and can be read in the course of an afternoon.

Have you ever read the Dao De Jing? Also, any books that you would recommend?

That sounds both really good and horribly unhealthy at the same time. I will have to try it sometime.
