  1. Thanks for the explanation, I was guessing it might be something like that. Is it the vibrations of the salt (likely caused by the frequency of the sound waves) you're looking at or the bouncing of the salt (likely caused by the sudden changes in sound wave amplitude)? Wouldn't that test show the salt or sugar vibrating more with a continuous high note then any kind of music? And wouldn't it show the salt bouncing more with a loud repetitive (straight rhythm) pattern desined to bounce the salt as soon as it returns from its last bounce (would need to be altered with amplitude)? Would this suggest that one of these sounds is better for you than music?

    Hi

    Hello Kibbe, welcome.
  3. ... Happy belated birthday!
  4. Great to see another band on your band camp page. The webzine is looking good so far.
  5. Cool. I like all of those (especially Maiden) with the exception of Rammstein. I think you'll be able to find plenty of us to talk to about classic bands like Sabbath, Maiden, and Pantera.
  6. Apparently Ernie Ball is holding a solo contest with a decent prize giveaway, promoted by the YouTuber Jared Dines. The song that you solo over is "Raise Your Glass" by Daddy Rock (I only found out about the band because of this contest). I was thinking of maybe entering for fun and, knowing there are a few guitarists on this sight, though I would see if any of you guys are interested. 7. Hi Bex. Have fun looking around. Any styles or bands you like in particular?
  8. Welcome to the forum Stephanie. I was going to write more, but it was pretty much all exactly what FA just said, so feel free to read his comment twice if you feel ripped off.
  9. Welcome to the forum. Cool list. Most of us like a good chunk of those bands (or at least some albums from good chunk of those bands).
  10. Huh, I've never thought about anything along those lines. I guess I'll wait a couple of months and see if anything seems more appealing than usual.
  11. Hi DeadMetal, welcome to the forum.
  12. Oh, cool. I'd be lying if I said I understood seasonal playlists. Is it just for variability or do certain songs go with certain weather?
  13. Welcome to the forum, any favourite bands?
  14. This is why I have my iTunes organised into sub-genres. Best song on the album by a mile. Hard as hell to "sing".
  15. Hell yeah! I need to pay more attention to these threads.
  16. Ah, I think it may have been the toy shop kit I was thinking of.
  17. You don't even think Fight 'Em 'Til You Can't is a fun song?
  18. Good to heat you're improving. Sorry to heat you're still struggling. Cool, what are you taking the GRE for? Tonight I'm seeing As Flesh Deacays (death), Plague of sickness (death), Cryptic Abyss (groove/death), Fall and Resist (melodic deathish) and Upon Worlds End (deathcore).
  19. Upon hearing that it was all recorded on a phone microphone (the kvltest thing I've heard this month) I had to check out your bandcamp. You've got a pretty good sound, the vocals are awesome. Are some of the percussion instruments just you tapping a pen on something?
  20. As they've included a whole bunch of 20th century bands, why is there no Death? Do they have to exist in the 21st century? Then why is there no Venom? I suppose there's nothing to do but sit around and let this silly internet list make me absolutely livid.
  21. Welcome to the forum. That's a pretty mixed bag. You've easily got some common ground with most of us. Also, welcome back Ghouly.
