  1. Oh sweet baby Thor I just picked a Vault tour Sabian. For those that dont know what vault tour is custom stuff and prototypes , including prototypes of custom orders and artists requests. This one started off life as an AAX 17 Dark Crash that sounds and looks like they whre finding the lines between an HHX and and Artisan Dark very quick burst response but long dark wash. It is mean complex and God of Thunder menacing like deep shuddering, close by lighting busting a window.
  2. nice choices I want a physical copy so I dont have to hear MP3 compression and audio lo-filement. Just let me hear at the best representation the band had the resolve to spend time and money on! Gator in the Bushes and hes callin my name Flirting with Disaster Timeless All line ups all vocalists, not all production Cousin Lucy says call the Palm Harbor engineer moved to TN. Damn I hope her Rotty is still alive
  3. Love the choice of Bass sound on the Ausgebombt (Sodom Cover) . Made me think of Lemmy. Thank you
  4. Are you seeing easy on the Pop like bands using metal sounds? Just imagine it less vocal heavy, not about sappy heartbreak, and the singer getting testosterone shots. Down by a river in Georgia theyd say, "that boy's sure got a purdy mouth" Quote from the film Deliverence
  5. All true but almost everyone deep inside is wishing their collaboration will get heard. Tough if no one is getting on the road and doing shows. If your not looking to tour the songs, its only fair to declare it right away. Its fine as long its up front. The life clock is always a ticking. Like a metronome waiving a noose. Give the guy the benefit of the doubt. Might see him again, who knows. Lo fi is too easy. I prefer to hear some skills, and production that doesnt mask cloud or shroud the bands skills. To each his own, just my preference. Im only degreed in it with a stack professional certs. I can always get dirty with the compressor the drum buss later. If someone insists or I need to cover up some sloppy drums.
  6. Annie I really enjoy the Gamma Ray great singing
  7. I usually try to set up session drummer to record with at least one band member present. Where are you located? Do you have some sample work? Are you open to travel? I never graft in any home acoustics done live drum tracks. Its proven to be less then stellar. Ok for working out song roughs, but not for finished for release songs, or even booking demos. Do you want a full band? Would you get in the van and tour? Those questions are good when seeking other musicians. Helps you get a right fit.
  8. Have you ever watched The Young Ones on BBC ?
  9. IT may not be recent , but there is always Malmsteem, and the Great Kat. You may want to look at older Power Metal, guitar riffs from early Savatage and Helloween would occasionally very apparent Vivaldi leans. Closer to current VIo7 or V7 something like that with electric violin. Sting also has a really good Baroque album, but dont mention it here. And Randy Rhoads played lots of Bach, and Vivaldi parts directly lifted.
  10. Teacher Would you rather be a soup can factory worker, or bread frozen fish Ahh the real choices in America
  11. In the states its usually a pinch between the cheek and gums, involves spitting, and is associated with country music fans. There are paintings of our founding fathers preparing to put it up there noses. It killed my great grandmother, a mountain woman. She refused to have her tongue cut out, when it gave her cancer. Nice woman she gave to me by experience my love of zoos. First person to take me there. Someone you love will miss you too early if you use it regularly. You can put it on a bug and watch it die. Have fun!!!
  12. In the morning I drink either Irish Breakfast tea or Tetley's British Blend. In the afternoon its generic tea marked American. With dinner it might one of the three different brands of OOLong on tea shelf. I like Earl Grey only when its fresh bags, bergamont oil is a real head shaker when its going stale. There is a huge wooden bowl in the kitchen with a wild assortment and boxes on boxes of herbals for when I feel lousy. A nice orange pekoe is always nice with a shot of scotch. Hmm gotta go. Reminds me of the little rascals " Aww Rasberries"
  13. If thats from a film I must see it. WTF. Does it depict after a singing contest for the deaf or is Mr.Bean is prize pig? Online translator from A hora e a vez do cabelo nascer! \m/ gave me A spinach that drinks with a nascar onion. I feel confident that isnt right. could you fill us in.
  14. Just curious if anyone or a mate has tried the Kevin Richards method . Did they avoid developing nodes?
  15. Do they crank the snowplows, or does everyone ski to work?
  16. Annie Are you the artist of the double skulls?
  17. In this rural county they havent started clearing the snow until now 9:30 AM. Why should anyone be able to get to work? How is it other places.
  18. How about an exterminator that kills rats with short 2"x3"s and a hammer. Would you rather be a Senator or Shovel Poop
  19. I know how hard you have to bust your butt for that kind of GPA. By the end there is only potential for it drop unless you do perfect. My audio degree was 3.95 one lousy A-. My business Bachelors 3.6, and did some of the bible belt professors in TN really treat me like a monkey trial heretic. Anyhow how did you do? Did you get to finish after all the hard work? Did you escape the mistake by the lake? where was the vacation, Hades? or a religous convention? Like Bands,Wives and girlfriends performance is better if practice occurs more than twice a week. We cant party that often, but we should practice quite regular.
  20. IF many layers of societal sarcasm is funny, then yes. Humor or not I do like to get that at least in some sense, the band is enjoying themselves, and there is some type of fun to convey. That dont smile, thats not metal business is BS. Lemmy used humor on stage. Song lines like,"It was them it was not me," are pretty tongue in cheek funny. And I do enjoy them.
