Yeah sports cars, love um. I live not too far from where loads of Premier league footballers live, there are some very expensive cars around there and some terrible ones too. Some tit in a Bentley Continental GT in camo colours. wtf. As Clarkson said Porsche Cockster, generally pricks driving them.

The rabbits thing makes me sad. I discovered this when I got a job at a pet shop when I was 16. I was being taught how to clean out the rabbit cage and my face swelled up so bad I couldn't see. Eyes swelled shut. Donuts, I can't explain. Since like age 7 or so, I just get insta-gag reflex when I even smell them. I don't even like thinking about them. Beers! Yes, have them all! When do I get my waffles invite?

For that matter' date=' goat meat is nasty too. No to goats.[/quote'] And that's why I'm allergic to Satanism. Wow, that's just a new order of tasteless...:D Crap, an aversion to donuts? That is a travesty. However, I can't talk. I don't like waffles, eggs, French toast or pancakes. Breakfast meals out kinda suck for me unless we go to IHOP in which case I just get a burger.

Where to start here. Bentley Continental GT in camo colours? sorry I just threw up in my mouth a little bit. Alabaster don't you go taking all those rabbits I have a lovely recipe for a stew to try :D. Also goat meat is rather nice I think. Now for the most important bit HOW CAN SOMEONE NOT LIKE PANCAKES!!!

And now I have a real answer to the formerly rhetorical question "who the fuck doesn't like pancakes?" :D
*sloooowly raises hand* I don't like pancakes either >.> Or waffles <.< I'm mostly playing around. I think I mentioned on another thread, I cut out all wheat/flour/grains from my diet a while ago. Now I just can't even eat the stuff or enjoy it. I'll totally come over your house for salad though! or steak. I love steak.

fact about me: I have yet to find any food so spicy I could not eat it and often complain that supposedly spicy food is' date=' in fact, not.[/quote'] Come out to New Mexico, that'd be one complaint about chile nobody here has ever heard. I often do a different accent each time I go through the McDonald's drive-thru. Last one I did was a sub-Saharan African man.

I have cut down on my gluten intake, but going gluten free seems to sap my energy even more than overloading on it. I've always preferred rice to bread, but beer is the biggest reason why I don't think I could cut it out completely. I know that many have an intolerance for it (some to an extreme degree), but it doesn't seem to have a negative impact on me. I'm totally down for loading up on more meat and veggies/fruits though, proteins are far and away the best group. Sent from my HTC PH39100 using Tapatalk 2

I tell you what eating nothing but carb-rich foods all week wears a bit thin pretty quickly. Pretty sick of pasta but carb loading is an important part of prep for competition and I've got State track cycling championships Saturday (sprint event) and Sunday (1km time trial and 4km pursuit)

Carbohydrates are the most basic energy component, but eating nothing but carbs is bad for you. It also doesn't make any digestive sense to load up on them the night before an athletic event, as your body can't process carbs in its sleep like it can with protein and fat, all of the excess is stored as unwanted/unneeded fat and doesn't help you for the next day. In addition, that athleticism is breaking down your muscle and joint fibers as you are exerting yourself, and you need protein and amino acids/minerals to rebuild them, especially with aerobic exercise. The problem with gluten (a protein found in wheat, barley, rye, and oats) is that many people's bodies have an intolerance to it due to overexposure (many foods are artificially glutenated and whole grains have taken over a large portion of our diets). An intolerance can manifest as digestive distres, but not always. However, if you are intolerant or allergic, it can gum up your intestines as it is extremely difficult to digest, which can rob you of the nutritional benefits other foods would provide. If you want to be more effective, use rice instead of pasta, and try to have a big breakfast the day of the event instead of the night before. Also, eat eggs, and lots of them, the whites are some of the cleanest protein out there, and the yolks contain all kinds of good stuff that you can't get many other places. I don't suffer from food allergies or weird sensitivities as far as I know. My mom does, so we were always trying different diets when I was growing up. I'd cut back on wheat, but I just love things made out of it so much... My diet plan right now consists of eating whatever I can while trying to get decent food into the baby's tummy, and staying in shape by walking everywhere. Sometimes a couple of miles a day, sometimes up to twelve. I've always been the kind of person that needs to do things regularly throughout the course of my day. Setting aside time to go to a gym or something doesn't make any sense to me.

I haven't been to the gym since I've been married, so at least I get some physical activity at work sorting freight (sometimes 30,000 lbs. on busy mornings) and loading drivers. I have too many other expenses to eat as well as I'd like to all the time, but I try to do okay. We eat entirely too many grains in this country, and when most of them are GMO, it's no wonder they're overwhelming our systems and doing damage to a number of people. I love wheat too, but protein and veggies tend to be my focus. Sent from my HTC PH39100 using Tapatalk 2

The GMO thing really upsets me. Not gonna get into it today except to say that I agree with you. One of our guests tonight has celiac disease, so with the exception of one dish, we're eating gluten-free - something we'd probably be wise to do in general these days. As far as exercise, eh, there are some things I miss about carpentry/landscaping, and the physical activity is one of them. I enjoy riding my bike on medium-distance rides, too, but don't have time for that lately either. Doing exercise solely for its own sake is something I'm going to have to get used to if I want to stay in shape much longer.

My boss has been gluten free for a while now and it seems to benefit him (he had the most atrocious gas before he cut it out), so I've given it a try, and it doesn't make much difference to me. I still try to avoid it where possible so I don't overwhelm my system and develop an issue though, I would hate to have a problem. And yes, the GMO shit is fucked up, Monsanto has their seeds copyrighted and they pay farmers to plant next to neighboring farms to cross pollenate, and then shut down those farms for copyright infringement. Over 90% of the seeds on the market are Monsanto seeds, the same people who engineered agent orange, and their practices and goals would qualify them as the most evil company in the world, narrowly eclipsing Walmart and various Koch businesses. I avoid grains because I started doing it, and I have never felt better in my life. I don't think I have celiac disease. But cutting out bread, pasta, rice, processed foods containing flour, starchy vegetables like corn, peas, potato, etc. and cutting out all processed sugar save for fructose in fresh fruit and limited amts of honey... god I have never felt better. I feel like I'm in my early 20's again. I lost weight, and I would advocate to ANYBODY to try going grain/processed-food-free. I also understand its a luxury many cannot afford which is such a sad thing. Exercise... I don't know anything about aerobic or anaerobic or whatever. I don't go work out muscle groups because gyms are intimidating and smelly. Most of my energy comes from walking around town and dancing / working out at home. My friend from Germany and I do challenges on Nerdfitness.com together, and we'll skype while we dance/work out together. Exercise I think is all about what works for you otherwise it's just not something you'll stick to.

    • Whichever tier of thrash metal you consigned Sacred Reich back in the 80's/90's they still had their moments.  "Ignorance" & "Surf Nicaragura" did a great job of establishing the band, whereas "The American Way" just got a little to comfortable and accessible (the title track grates nowadays) for my ears.  A couple more records better left forgotten about and then nothing for twenty three years.  2019 alone has now seen three releases from Phil Rind and co.  A live EP, a split EP with Iron Reagan and now a full length.

Notable addition to the ranks for the current throng of releases is former Machine Head sticksman, Dave McClean.  Love or hate Machine Head, McClean is a more than capable drummer and his presence here is felt from the off with the opening and title track kicking things off with some real gusto.  'Divide & Conquer' and 'Salvation' muddle along nicely, never quite reaching any quality that would make my balls tingle but comfortable enough.  The looming build to 'Manifest Reality' delivers a real punch when the song starts proper.  Frenzied riffs and drums with shots of lead work to hold the interest.

There's a problem already though (I know, I am such a fucking mood hoover).  I don't like Phil's vocals.  I never had if I am being honest.  The aggression to them seems a little forced even when they are at their best on tracks like 'Manifest Reality'.  When he tries to sing it just feels weak though ('Salvation') and tracks lose real punch.  Give him a riffy number such as 'Killing Machine' and he is fine with the Reich engine (probably a poor choice of phrase) up in sixth gear.  For every thrashy riff there's a fair share of rock edged, local bar act rhythm aplenty too.

Let's not poo-poo proceedings though, because overall I actually enjoy "Awakening".  It is stacked full of catchy riffs that are sticky on the old ears.  Whilst not as raw as perhaps the - brilliant - artwork suggests with its black and white, tattoo flash sheet style design it is enjoyable enough.  Yes, 'Death Valley' & 'Something to Believe' have no place here, saved only by Arnett and Radziwill's lead work but 'Revolution' is a fucking 80's thrash heyday throwback to the extent that if you turn the TV on during it you might catch a new episode of Cheers!

    • Full length number 19 from overkill certainly makes a splash in the energy stakes, I mean there's some modern thrash bands that are a good two decades younger than Overkill who can only hope to achieve the levels of spunk that New Jersey's finest produce here.  That in itself is an achievement, for a band of Overkill's stature and reputation to be able to still sound relevant four decades into their career is no mean feat.  Even in the albums weaker moments it never gets redundant and the energy levels remain high.  There's a real sense of a band in a state of some renewed vigour, helped in no small part by the addition of Jason Bittner on drums.  The former Flotsam & Jetsam skinsman is nothing short of superb throughout "The Wings of War" and seems to have squeezed a little extra out of the rest of his peers.

The album kicks of with a great build to opening track "Last Man Standing" and for the first 4 tracks of the album the Overkill crew stomp, bash and groove their way to a solid level of consistency.  The lead work is of particular note and Blitz sounds as sneery and scathing as ever.  The album is well produced and mixed too with all parts of the thrash machine audible as the five piece hammer away at your skull with the usual blend of chugging riffs and infectious anthems.

There are weak moments as mentioned but they are more a victim of how good the strong tracks are.  In it's own right "Distortion" is a solid enough - if not slightly varied a journey from the last offering - but it just doesn't stand up well against a "Bat Shit Crazy" or a "Head of a Pin".  As the album draws to a close you get the increasing impression that the last few tracks are rescued really by some great solos and stomping skin work which is a shame because trimming of a couple of tracks may have made this less obvious.
