Wild. We’re practically neighbors, but I’m like 30 miles inland. although I’ve lived in every part of this country and did my time with weather. Perpetual summer is aok with me.

I think that they changed their styles over time, but, then again, I am also not an avid listener of their music.
That being said, I tend to think of their music as more humorous than offensive.  The deliberate extremism in content, when blended with live performances that are downright hilarious, make their music appear to be an attempt to make fun of prevailing standards of both morality and music.
I never heard of that documentary before, and it sounds really interesting.  I will have to look and see if I can locate a copy/place to see it.

They seem to have been really good about releasing demos, live recordings, and other oddities that they have recorded (they have an entire bandcamp page just for live bootlegs), so I wouldn't be surprised if additional recordings from Life Metal were to come out at some point.
Frankly, I am surprised that they have not written a book about their music yet.  As you said, everything that they do has a purpose, and it would be really cool if they would write something that provides some first-hand details about that.

Today marks the anniversary of my birth to the sum of 40 years! 
While in one sense it's somewhat frightening that things have got this far out of hand, I'm also consoled by the dark lords who have gone bravely before me into the 40s realm. Those people know who they are, and I salute them. Ave. 
Spent most of the day at an athletics relay carnival where my eldest vampire daughter performed admirably in the Under 9 Mixed Relay Team for her club, making it to the finals and giving it a great shot. A proud father, I nearly had tears of blood as I saw my little killer helter-skelter around the track, strong, tall, powerful. Was I the only person out of thousands in a Taake shirt? Yes I was. 
Last night the Countess and I went out to a great steak restaurant in the city where I was in absolute bliss with the beef. It was amazing. I could cry (tears of blood) just thinking about it now. Tonight, however, will be a more standard family restaurant experience, and I'm still tossing up between Indian and Italian. At this stage I'm leaning towards the evils of Maha Kali and the Indian deathcults (armageddon). Time shall tell. 
I have spoken. 40 years of history echo through my words. Hail to you all. 

The Boris/Merzbow collaboration was also really cool.  There are some awesome live videos of them performing together.
 

I have heard of them, but never listened to them much.  To my understanding, Earth was very influential for the members of Sunn.  I will have to check them out.

I like Black One a lot also, because I think the bm influence to be really cool.  The other album that I liked a lot was Dømkirke.  The use of the pipe organ on that album is awesome.
I haven't listened to either of their new albums yet, so I will need to check them out.

You are right, i still have it somewhere in my pile of Cd's. I got it from a friend as a gift because he knew i liked metal...? The irony somehow wasn't lost on me.

So sadly true. This will sound arrogant, but I suppose most people are F<<<ing arrogant, but I'm sick of sharing the planet with half retarded sub-humans like this. I really can't comprehend the sub-human  thought process that says, "I don't enjoy this, there for it somehow is not what it purports to be". Like, if I don't like a painting, does it cease to be paint on canvas? How does my not liking something make that something not what it was? I guess I'll just lump this in with the "not even bothering" part of my brain.

Yes hahaha but what I mean is that most metal in general requires one to do some thinking in order to understand it and find enjoyment in it.
