My daughter is a little over one and a half now, but since she was very young, she has loved growling. It trips people out, and the fact that my wife was the one that taught her to do it, and she doesn't like metal. She dances no matter what kind of music we put on, and she loves to sing, so it's all good. Her mom, being a very girly girl, dresses her and teaches her to look the same, so I find that people's reaction to me changes a great deal when I'm with her versus being alone. I'm most thankful for my wife and daughter, as I really don't get along well with most of my family, and I'm thankful for all of my friends. As I have very few friends that I actually hang out with, I'm mostly meaning my online friends like you guys and the users on my other forum. Thanks for all of the great conversation, metal and otherwise, it helps to keep me sane since I wouldn't have an outlet for it without all of you.

It was in the 70's yesterday in Vegas, but that's not surprising down here in the desert. It's only supposed to be 55 today, so it should feel a little more like normal. I just hate Vegas and have a tough time with this side of my family, so my 6 pack of Dorado double IPAs will be working extra hard for me today.

I served over rice, but based on the taste I think it might be better over mashed potatoes. I had a 3.75 lb pork shoulder, so I did everything about 1.5 times the recipe accordingly. The only substitution that I made was the Dijon mustard, I didn't have any, so I used spicy brown mustard. Since spicy brown usually has horseradish, it still worked together well, and was maybe a bit more rich and less sweet because of it. I drank the apple cider that I cooked it with while eating it, and garnished with green apples, and it was killer. Thanks again for posting it.

This has been their tactic for ages, drawing imaginary party lines across conflicts that people are more emotional and less logical about to pit them against each other. It has served as an impressive distraction in our ADHD generation to allow them to get away with whatever they want while all observation is directed at non-issues and firing blows across supposed party lines. It's all a farce.

I drove to Vegas last night to get the long weekend started. I had to work late and remote in to work from here this morning to make it happen, but it will be nice to have a couple of days off, even if it does mean dealing with family. Hoping to hit the record store and liquor store while I'm here, so some new posts in those areas may be coming down.

I was initially put off by the lighter production and more uneven flow of that album compared to its predecessors, but over the years I've realized that the songs are every bit as strong as from the rest of their early canon.
