I used to smoke pretty religiously. Im in recovery from some pretty nasty addictions to other stuff though so i abstain these days. Dont mind it though. Used to love the strain Girl Scout Cookies. Used to have the highest thc content in the world im sure theres something else though now. I also used to love smoking wax (thc concentrate) as that shit will have you high for a week.

I am an irretrievable foodie. Id be willing to bet the percantage of my pay spent on food is seconded only by rent.
Just realized i havent had pho since i came back from culinary scientology. Needs to be remedied immediately.

Ikard given a Damn from Sindod in How do you like your black metal?
I'm not sure if I'm describing this correctly but I like punk-ish(or thrashy) sounding Black Metal. Definitely love first wave. As far as second wave I dig Krypt, Darkthrone, Carpathian Forest, Gorgoroth all of which to me sound punk and or thrash influenced. Definitely appreciate atmospheric sounds but I tend to reach for Funeral Doom when I'm feeling that vibe.

I can. I use lentils for burgers and sometimes "meat"loaf

I tend to like Black Metal with heavy punk influence. Very well may be because I considered myself a punk in high school and like Ban said nostalgia may be talking here.

I'm not familiar with all of those, but the few that I've seen are pretty good. I'm not so much into the modern torture porn Hostel type stuff, but Martyrs is a pretty good film in that vein that actually possesses a story and some sense of atmosphere. I wouldn't call anything by David Lynch horror, despite how creepy and weird it can be, but he is one of my favorite directors. I prefer Hitchcock's suspense flicks to Psycho, but the man was a genius, so I can't argue with its inclusion. It was the first horror movie that I saw when I was a kid, and it scared the piss out of the 5 year old BAN.

Ikard given a Damn from Powerslave in Songs that affect you
I remember to this day the first time I heard War Ensemble by Slayer. I knew I was a metalhead for sure at that point. That and maybe Scream Bloody Gore collectively as an album. Death has always impacted me greatly.

Ikard given a Damn from Powerslave in Anti Black Metal
I think anyone who seriously listens to Black Metal and extreme metal in general has the ability to differentiate between the dark imagery and subject matter and real life. I think the same goes for most people who perform it. I will concede that there is some bullshit within Black Metal but the same could be said for a lot of musical genres. Are you anti rap as well? Anti country? Regardless you are painting with a pretty broad brush and I think you should reconsider your thinking.
Just saw the date of the post. My apologies.

Cool man. I love thrash metal and Dungeons and Dragons holds a special place in my heart. Which bands are your favorite?

The irony of liking something that hipsters like before they thought it was cool is staggering.

I would certainly agree. I think Slowly We Rot by Obituary started my interest in DM but Altars of Madness really sealed the deal.

Ikard gave a Damn to BlutAusNerd in Gorgoroth
Re: Gorgoroth Firstly, Ghaal didn't start the band, and was their 3rd or 4th vocalist. This was established when he tried to kick the founding member Infernus out of his own band, which was ludicrous, and the courts obviously ruled in Infernus' favor. As far as their music goes, Pentagram is phenomenal, Under the Sign of Hell is excellent, and the rest of their stuff is good. They've never made anything bad, but they've also never lived up to the lofty heights set by their debut. Sent from my HTC PH39100 using Tapatalk 2
