Re: 5 Reasons Why You Love Metal I thought you got over the little speed hump davey, it's waaaaaaay too difficult to come up with five different reasons why I love metal, bassicaly I love metal because of the feeling I get when listening to it, I love having metal there, knowing that whatever is going on in my life there is always at least one sure-fire way to cheer myself up even if it is only for a little while, I lack the eloquence to properly express exactly what goes on when I listen to metal

5 Reasons Why You Love Metal

I thought you got over the little speed hump davey' date=' it's waaaaaaay too difficult to come up with five different reasons why I love metal, bassicaly I love metal because of the feeling I get when listening to it, I love having metal there, knowing that whatever is going on in my life there is always at least one sure-fire way to cheer myself up even if it is only for a little while, I lack the eloquence to properly express exactly what goes on when I listen to metal[/quote'] i still get that buzz when i listen to it though, i think its other peoples opinions that are putting me off but i have no idea why. Its strange really, i need to say fuck off to opinions :D

Re: 5 Reasons Why You Love Metal couldn't hurt to expand your horizons though, check out some classic rock, blues or whatever, but don't worry in most cases the passion for metal is something that stays with you, like me I've been listening to metal for ten years now and if anything love it even more now then ever before

Re: 5 Reasons Why You Love Metal 1. Agreed with you forge, guitars! 2. It's not popular. I'm so sick and tired of seeing the "cool kids" get into music just because it's "cool". 3. It picks you up when you're feeling down, set you on your feet and tells you to go kick the world's ass. 4. While I don't mind songs about fast cars and women, it's nice to have metal writing about what the real world is like. Things like war, death, anger, etc... 5. Finding other metalheads makes you feel like you've found a long lost relative. Oh what kinship!

Re: 5 Reasons Why You Love Metal 1. the metal brotherhood, being a headbanger means you're part of a global communit who share a common interest regardless of age, race, cultural or religious differences etc we are all united by our love for all things metal 2. knowing that no matter what happens in my life I will always have metal, whatever bullshit happens in my life I can rely on metal to cheer me up, it's like a very close friend 3. the guitar playing is phenomenal and as a guitarist I can't help but gravitate towards a form of music that can seem both extremely simple and insanely complex at the same time 4. the lyrics, where else can you have songs that cover such diverse subjects as war, religion, mythical creatures, politics and works of literature 5. I just love that feeling when you have a kickass song turned up way too loud and start a one man mosh pit

1. The feeling I get, when I hear / play, a beautifly deadly riff, with everything else in perfect lockstep. Chills! 2. When I am at a show, Im with my people. And I know, they, like me, have an ear for quality, not plastic mainstream garbage. 3. Seeing thousands of my brothers and sisters, throw those horns at the same moment, at a big fest, we are legion! 4. The history, those who paved the way, and those who are gone. Leaving each generation to hold the torch. Nowdays, when we throw those horns, DIO is with us! 5. The pride, that I can hold my head high, when idiots talk shit about my music. I know Im right, and they are wrong. Poor bastards!

our reasons for loving metal are all so similar' date=' like I said the metal brotherhood we think alike[/quote'] Absolutely! We are all probably drawn by the same elements, and stay for the same reasons. We are loyal to certain bands, theres not as much here today, gone tomorrow. If someone had told me in 1987, that many of my favs, would still be rolling 2010 and beyond, Id have not believed. Especially Slayer, I loved them from the get go, but figured the niche was weak.

1. The music, of course. It makes me feel as if I can do anything. I think that's the main thing, it makes me feel good. 2. The people I've met though metal music have ended up being some of my closest friends. It's a good way to meet people and I enjoy the social aspect of it. We are like one big family. 3. The lyrics. I can relate to a lot of the songs I listen to and they make me feel like I'm not alone. 4. The clothing. Yeah, it sounds stupid, but I like the way metalheads dress. I love the leather and the denim and everything else. I'm glad that we have our own 'uniform'. 5. The many sub-genres. There's always something different to listen to. I just don't think I will ever get bored of metal.

1. There is always a song in metal that will fit your mood. 2. The community, everyone is so kind to each other. And also the people I've met through metal, like miiou already said, wich I became good friends with. 3. Just that feeling when you put a really nice song on the loudest possible volume. 4. Concerts and festivals. 5. The use of real instruments.

1. It gives me a lot of energy. It gives me a good boost to go through a hard day! 2. Since I like mostly positive metal bands (I reserve the depressive stuff for other styles) I'd say metal brings a lot of joy in my life 3. The gigs/fests give me the possibility to explode and be crazy 4. The whole metal subculture. I mean, those are the coolest people ever and whenever you see a person that likes the same band you do you'll get some appreciation and friendliness 5. The rebellious, mischievous and free spirit of the music. I'm a freedom loving person :)
