  1. My buddy sent me the text, Jeff Hanneman died, could't believe what I saw. Earlier that day, I was telling my sister about his bite, and for some odd reasin I said, if anything happened to one of them, you wouldn't see on news. Little did I know, that he was in the process of dying at that monent, very wierd for me. RIP Mr. Hanneman!
  2. You rate schizophrenia higher than Beneath the Remains and Arise...wow Arise is a masterpiece, beauty to my ears, Beneath catches you from the start, never lets go.
  3. @Relentless I've never been a big Megadeth fan, so it's not common knowledge to me how they spell it. I've always respected their abilities, just never cared for the finished product. I like my thrash, a little more thrashy.
  4. Slayer is my favorite of the big 4, without question. I don't even see the allure with Megadeath, they had some okay stuff early on. These days, it's radio metal, they supposed to be thrash? Metallica, Im not as big a fan, as I once was, kinda dropped off after Master of Puppets. But you can't argue the success. Anthrax is always fun, but they had an identity crisus for awhile. Id replace Megadeath with Testament in a heartbeat.
  5. I believe we all have only one chance, to live, and to die. Like the Exodus song Brain Dead says: The darkness is forever, within your mind No dreams, no thoughts, it's only, endless time
  6. Metal is dirty, it naturally is a sausage fest. At least my genre, thrash metal. A lot of the girls, that were into it years ago, have moved on. Theres still some, but girls I date, typically aren't into it. They like when Im in a band, the excitment of that, but aren't gonna get up, and pop in Hell Awaits.
  7. This is a more localized midwest fest, only 2 dates in 2012. Council Bluffs Iowa, and Sommerset Wisconsin, 40 mins. outta Minneapolis. But this was an awesome show, with Gojira, Prong, Dilinger Escape Plan, Serj Tankinen, Cannibal Corpse, Machine Head, Deftones, Lamb of God, and of course Slipknot. That was the Minneapolis lineup, Iowa had a couple less. For 50 bucks, that was a steal Has anyone heard, if this is going down again in 2013? I hope so, because, I had such a memorable time. I know last year, they didn't announce til May, but the 2nd time around, Id expext more warning, since it isn't new anymore.
  8. Oh and if you hit this thread again, can you tell me how to get the the box to put in a url for a profile pic? Can't find it, maybe it's because Im using my phone?
  9. 1. The feeling I get, when I hear / play, a beautifly deadly riff, with everything else in perfect lockstep. Chills! 2. When I am at a show, Im with my people. And I know, they, like me, have an ear for quality, not plastic mainstream garbage. 3. Seeing thousands of my brothers and sisters, throw those horns at the same moment, at a big fest, we are legion! 4. The history, those who paved the way, and those who are gone. Leaving each generation to hold the torch. Nowdays, when we throw those horns, DIO is with us! 5. The pride, that I can hold my head high, when idiots talk shit about my music. I know Im right, and they are wrong. Poor bastards!
  10. I have two guitars at the moment, Jackson dinky with emg actives 81 /85, and a BC Beast.
  11. And every time I have tried to comment, outside of intro section, I get a message, I don't have permission to do that.....
  12. Hey yall, long time fan of the metalcraft. Slayer is my favorite band of all time, been seeing them live since 1985 Hell Awaits tour. My favorite thing, is summer fests. Waiting for Mayhem, and Knotfest 2013! \m/ I am also a guitar player, not in an active band atm, life called sadly. But may put something together again soon. Theres my intro, and at this moment, Im listening to Slipknot, been on that kick this weekend.
