I agree. I think the same about Dream Unending too. I'm all for bands following their inspiration and changing their sound accordingly but both bands' last albums sounded like loose ends.

That's not entirely accurate. There can be a factual determination of innocence in the justice system, especially as a component of exoneration.

I was kinda the same. Diabolical Conquest rules, it's still my favorite by a mile. Mortal Throne and Onward are a lot less clear and crisp-sounding, and Craig Pillard's vocal delivery is also murkier than Corchado's. Some people hear that as "atmosphere" but to me it always sounded like shitty recording and I didn't dig it. In the past few years I've come around, especially to Mortal Throne. The music and energy are really good if you can listen past the lo fi sound.

I think big furry boots are more important than a sword for completing the overall look. You wear a loincloth with bare feet and it just looks like you stole the sword from a corpse after the battle. Not convincing. Furry boots let everybody know you mean business.

Fen - Monuments To Absence ...finally catching up. This is great. Full of energy and inspiration.
