  1. Tomb Mold - The Enduring Spirit ...still dig it second time through. Lots of cool riffs. A lot of it feels like just one riff after another, but there are some parts that develop and unfold nicely. Not sure it will stick around for me long-term but it's engaging at the moment.
  2. Moved this to the promotion section, please keep your band-related posts in here in the future. Thanks.
  3. They do have Sol Currupto out in digital format now: https://altarage.bandcamp.com/album/sol-corrupto
  4. Hey, yeah, Google Translate does kick in automatically sometimes but we have an English-only policy, so please do post in English in the future.
  5. Debussy - Preludes & Nocturnes (Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli) Portishead - Dummy
  6. Chilling, or trying to: Meredith Monk - Dolmen Music Schoenberg - Verklärte Nacht
  7. Tomb Mold - The Enduring Spirit ...is good so far.
  8. You gotta come to VT. I had a pretty awesome weekend last month where I met up with friends at Schilling (right across the NH border) and then the next day we drove to Hill Farmstead. Very spread out but more amazing beer than you can shake a stick at. The Alchemist was also a really fun day trip, legendary. NP: Enslaved - Heimdal
  9. That's actually the Baroness guitarist/vocalist, John Baizley. Not a fan of the band but his artwork is killer. (No clue who did this cover art BTW)
  10. It's the only explanation that's consistent with his œuvre.
  11. Maybe it's about the terror induced by sleep paralysis? Trying to reclaim some power by putting the feared thing in the first person when in fact it's an examination of the sufferer's mindset? Shazbot, nanu nanu.
  12. Nihilist: Brutal Truth: Assück: Discordance Axis:
  13. I would just like to say for the record that I think this band gets shat on way too much and their 2nd, 3rd, and 4th albums are phenomenal.
  14. Some pretty serious lineup changes, too. Daryl Kahan is the only original member left. I'm sure that can sap momentum. I'm not sure if any of the newer guys contribute or if they just signed up to play the old stuff and whatever Daryl comes up with. They were great live. Still listed as "active", so who knows. NP: Immolation - Here In After Immolation - Failures For Gods
  15. Blut Aus Nord - Memoria Vestusta III - Saturnian Poetry Funebrarum - Beneath The Columns Of Abandoned Gods
  16. I initially felt a bit disappointed by Charnel Passages, but now I think it's great. I have to say this new track isn't grabbing me right away.
  17. Blut Aus Nord - Memoria Vetusta II: Dialogue With The Stars
  18. New Cruciamentum just announced: https://cruciamentum.bandcamp.com/album/obsidian-refractions
  19. Ritual Chamber - Obscurations (To Feast On The Seraphim)
  20. You know I enjoy a bunch of the same DM you do, it's not like everything needs to have weird time signatures and off-kilter dissonant guitars. I like songs that keep me engaged. I'm nodding along to this Fossilization album so far, which means I don't hate it, which is good. Already heard a couple of unexpected turns and I'm only halfway through. It's promising!
  21. Bad idea of the day: spamming an open mic night with Pantera tribute songs played by whoever in the crowd happens to know a song a two. Would probably need to plant some musician friends to make it work. Name of the project will be Walk-on Homeboy.
