Leaving presents from work were nearly all but whiskey. Sat here now nursing a 14 year old Rich Oak Glenfiddich single malt. I have a bottle of Glenmorangie, a bottle of Glenlivet, a bottle of Jura and two more miniature Glenfiddichs to get through also (not all tonight obviously).

Last day in my old job tomorrow then off to Leeds for a midweek break for my birthday before staring the new job next week. All my travel and accomodation for my first week is sorted and I can't wait to get going. Also been to see my alcoholic uncle this afternoon after he was found on the floor at home after falling and was there for 12 hours. He looks like hell but is finally getting some help and treatment from the professionals and taking the strain off my parents for the time being. He has a long way to go but he just might pull through. My friend came home from hospital yesterday after having his op for bowel cancer and is recovering well. Life is good!
