Re: Windir yeah I know some people that thought the same, for me i just got hooked on the sound when 1184 came out!!! Vreid (the remaining members) still has the sognametal sound, not as good as Windir but still a good band!

Wasnt sure were to put this although they have the Blackmetal Sound there is alot of other elements in their music, they actually called it Sognametal (Sogndal is were they are from in Norway)!! Windir are my favourite band of all time, alot of people havent heard them before, so think this thread should open a new window for people looking for something special!! In their short existance Valfar (RIP) created some of the most melodic and atmospheric music with a blackmetal element, as each song evolves it just gets more melodic!! Re: IMMORTAL Thats very true, think the heart of winter was the last great album from them although the last one has some great tunes!! Yeah Demonaz its actually a good record, Kinda reminds of a mixure between Immortal and 'I' which is never a bad thing!!

Re: Records, CDs, or MP3s? all of the above, I have my top 20 albums of all time on Records, most of my collection is on CD, but I do find for storage MP'3 handy! so they all suite me......YOU FORGOT ABOUT TAPES, the best format in the world hahahahah i miss the whole rewind fastforward, and the tape getting unravelled in the stereo!! ah the memories

Warning are an amazing doom band the vocals are so epic sFHL76lIo7k And Soltice are a breath of fresh air, again some great vocals OG5fdhhDFLQ and lets not forget the mighty Candlemass. Not alot of people know this but the infamous "DEAD" from MAYHEM that committed suicide early on in Mayhem is in this Video!! Im sure to the Big Mayhem Fans I dont have to point him out -3uvf0cn0jo

Re: Death Magnetic - MetallicA - 2008 listened to it once then binned it! I really hate how hetfields voice has evolved really gets on my nerves. there was was actually a leak on the net around the time the album was released, and it was basically some fan who was a sound engineer and he cut the tracks up and made them shorter and added a little extra to some of the songs and have to say is made the album sound more appealing.
