Love me some Ten-Fiddy. My best bud lives about 2 miles from the brewery, but alas no tasting there. It's a dry county. I went bourbon. Eagle Rare. Too hard to resist. Plus I bought new bourbon glasses today, so by law I have to use them.

Gave a few a shot today. Kampfar - Til Klovers Takt - yup. Definitely a purchase. Dream Unending - Song of Salvation - I dunno. I dig most of it, but not an instant purchase. Now it's on to some classics: Def Leppard - first 2 Mercyful Fate - first 2 Paradise Lost - Icon Sumerlands - Sumerlands

I'm enjoying an Oyster City Red Right Return Amber ale at the moment. Seasonal release of a great beer you can usually only get in a growler at the brewery, but a nice stout or tasty bourbon is on the way as soon as these ribeyes get done.

What do you think of that Jefferson? I've seen it a bunch but never gave it a go.

I do enjoy a cup of coffee now and then, but I can also take it or leave it. My wife on the other hand would have to be institutionalized if she had to give up coffee.

Not much comes out of Houston that doesn't get my full attention these days.

I found it underwhelming upon first listen, but I'm not exactly well versed on all things Drudkh so my opinion counts for little.

Yeah I wish, but it is paid travel and I do get per diem. So I do come out with a few extra bucks. I'm fairly frugal when it comes to eating/drinking when away from home for business.

Had tickets to see them Wednesday, but pulled a work conference at the last minute and had to sell them. Saw them in August (great show) but you never know when they will come around again. I'm in NOLA, where there are always shows... except the week I'm here.

Over the years, I've been to several different countries. The 2 must visit recommendations I would give someone are Italy and Japan. I've still several on my list, but my top priorities are Scotland (home of my people and at least part of my wife's), Czech Republic (the rest of the wife's family), and Finland (because everyone I've met from there fucking rules).

Cool man. I lived there for 3 years back in the 90's. Nice place, super nice people, phenomenal food. Totally get the sentiment about churches. Once you've seen 1, you have seen enough.

Just wondering where you were the other day. Glad you're back. Did you have adventures?
