  1. Jason Becker from cocophony is absolutely amazing shredder. I've heard lots of others praise his playing so it's not just me. Plus such a short guitar career after als stopped him short. So sad. Could he have got even better.

Thanks for the description. I will likely get a sample from kindle and see if I like it.by the way Did you finish reading the illiad. Would you recommend others to read it.
  4. Food oddball yep that's me😁 no alcohol for you. Not sure if I could do that now but it's good if you can cut it out for a time at least. Your diet is more normal than mine. When I got poorly I tried loads of different foods and stumbled across what works now which is alot of rice. . It works for me plus a health professional has said its ok a diet considering my general health. Tbh eat what suits you is my approach, sensible erm I hope so.😁 Hope your new diet works for you long term.less caffeine and alcohol has got to be a good thing even if it's just temporary.eating more vege soya meat proteins is also good idea in my opinion Young as you'll ever be. Thats good πŸ˜‚

    Books?

Yeah there's some mythology in odyssey. Well worth a read. Not too long either about 300 pages as I remember which is good and easy read too. What's the illiad like to read. Would you recommend this.
  6. Just out of interest have other people on the forum cut back on processed foods and what have you stopped eating for now. I eat very few processed foods as I just trialled swapping unprocessed stuff instead and surprised my self when I felt better for it. For example I don't have regular store cereal for breakfast with milk but have a smoothie of rice, veg and protein such as cheese so not true smoothie tbh but gives a me good start to day. When I was younger I would be shocked with my turnaround. 😫 I'm interested what's your opinions about processed food reduction. Am I just a food oddball?πŸ˜†β˜ οΈπŸ‘»

Kafka is very good. I've read a few of his. Definitely agree with you on that. Have you read homers Odyssey. The final fight sticks in my mind,
  8. To be honest I stand by my previous posts. There not exactly the same but there's a reasonable resemblance. One of the trainer's at work has a strong resemblanceJoey belladonna from anthrax. It's the body language and physique that are very similar. Ok so our trainer from work Simon has no hair but with a wig they'd look different πŸ˜‚ surely other people have others.
  9. That's a good pick balor. That's a heavy listen and probably trump's my one, hats off to you . I've not had a chance to fully listen yet for more than a minute. Ahhhhhhhhh. Surely others have these interuption issues too.

If you've read the Iliad have you read homers Odyssey. I very much enjoyed the book. Would recommend if you liked the Iliad I've got life and fate on the go by Vasily Grossman. It's like war and peace but based in 2nd war. It's very good so probably time I try reading it again..has any one else got books they liked but for some reason life got busy so they reading said book. Or is it just me
  11. Good list, what about twisted sister. Surely they belong in this list. Of course thats assuming you like there music. Surely most people quite like we're not going to take it with the funny video. Or is it just me πŸ€—
  12. 1 slayer reign in blood- enough said 2immortal pure holocaust- my favourite of theres. What trump's this 3 obituary live videos 4 Belgian metal band slow 5 jonestown. Brightons best metal band for me
  13. 38 or is it 39. 😁. Obviously I'm getting old when I can't remember. Surely I can't be only one who has this issue. Maybe it's all those whiskeys catching up on me.
  14. Does anybody not eat alot of processed foods. For me I eat very few and I feel better for it. I recently cut processed cereals from my breakfast as wasn't feeling great on the old shreddies cereal. There's no right answer at all. I'm just interested
  15. I'm often doing a task such as paperwork for work, washing up, cooking, hoovering, driving, having dinner, and sometimes nothing. the classics 😁
  16. They might say. Were not fecking Metallica. 🀬Tbh such a reaction would be worth it in my book. Especially if they were overly emotional. You never know could work. Apparently swimming can be good for vocal technique. Apparently something to do with learning to control breathing better can help improve vocal power alot 🎀🎢πŸ€ͺ svalbards singer mentioned it in interview in recent metal magazine I got.
  17. Nothing wrong with a vege burger. Only recently I started googling how long animals for meat last typically, living conditions and method of slaughter. It was an eye opener for sure but not total shock at all. I'm not a big meat eater anyway but definitely made me think. One site reckoned male chicks were thrown into a high speed grinder with no pain killer. Ouch if true Definitely. One reason why 100% Chocolate is nice for me is my sinuses need draining. πŸ˜‚ Conversation slayed. For normal people little pieces like a grain of sand are enough due to its strength. Well to start with. Have you got any food balor you didn't like much to begin with but like now?
  18. Has anybody got any recommendations for documentaries on cults. I saw one about the Jim Jones cult and would not say I enjoyed watching it but it was definitely an interesting experience if not a bit disturbing. Recommendations will be appreciated. Are there any good documentary on the Waco standoff re the davidian cult
  19. Yeah it does sound cool. Hawaii sounds amazing in general. Definitely worth googling Lydgate farms. There's probably some thing closer to home that does similar so thanks for info. That's cool about your favourite one. Proper milk chocolate. I mean mass produced stuff is ok but it's nice to get premium now and again. Maybe like Friday when I had drink of single malt Islay whisky followed by standard blend. Initial reaction was what is this rubbish. πŸ˜‚still enjoyed it though. The blended scotch that is Tbh it's hard to get in UK too. Specialist chocolate shops sell it and some big supermarkets. Online it's easy to get. Tbh Im not going to push it. You should enjoy what you like. Eating 100% dark chocolate is just a different sort of eating experience. Much more extreme flavours.
  20. Not heard that one, one to look up. but when I first bought reign in blood it was just nothing like I'd heard before as the speed, intensity overloaded me. I liked angel of death and raining blood but I shelved it for good long time until I got a recommendation from DJ Johnny doom about it so gave it another go. And I loved it. Have done since. I still reckon it's a bit intense though but in a good way. What's heavier than reign in blood. No responses mean this is it. πŸ€ͺ
  21. Balor interesting what you said about high percentage chocolate being used for cooking. For me it's logical that more high percentage stuff is used for baking/cooking after all most people don't like high percentage chocolate.that being said the stuff I've had tastes great. It just requires eating smaller pieces of it and enjoying the stronger flavour. Well that's my take. Would recommend you just by a premium brand. I bought some other day and cost me Β£2 so wasn't that much. If you do eat some can you let me know how you get on.
  22. Your hard core roasted cocoa beans. I'm impressed though. What kind of shops sell those. One reason I like the 100% stuff is I like the intense flavour of it, milk chocolate doesn't agree with me at all which is a shame as I like it. Your right though re 100 percent stuff. It needs to be good quality otherwise it's best used for baking or drinking chocolate. I kept a bar too long and it was terrible. All the smoothness went. Have you tried 65% cocoa milk chocolate. I had some for Christmas and it was good. It was bitter sweet obviously. I'm impressed you tried it. Yeah it's quite bitter. It's takes some getting used to. I moved up percentages before tackling 100%, I'd had alot of this good quality 90% polish dark choc before, in fact I was bought the 100% as a present from specialist Cambridge chocolate shop as that was only high % stuff they had. Otherwise no way I'd try it.
  23. Thanks dude. This one has woken me up. I wouldn't say depraved is wrong. She's giving her account of what she sees.Obviously your right there's a big female metal fan base out there for some genres of metal. And they are popular genres. No doubt about that. I know within temptation went top 5 in UK albums chance on one of there releases. Last gig I went to. Acid reign at the (80s big 4 UK thrash) Camden underworld, must have been 5% women no joke, pallbearer 10% women, anthrax 15%women, Lovebites, babymetal are all female metal bands. So there's two for you. I do think depraved is on to something with her answer though. There's a strong element of logic in what she says. Definitely no definitive easy answer though.
  24. Just out interest what's the strongest alcoholic drink Anybody's tried and was itany good. Mines a 75% rum i had in a Cambridge rum pubI. Itwas really smooth and nice. Not what I was expecting at all
  25. I'm guessing no one's had dark 100% chocolate. It's not that hard core but Howling wolf on front make it look this this. It's much nicer than you would think. Out of interest what's highest %dark chocolate people have had
