  1. sheol. think its time i watched the fly. entertaining and effects like the thing. sounds πŸ‘very good to me. i saw existenz recently again after along time of not seeing it. i thought ending was interesting and well done. sheol what is it you like about videodrome? you said its your favourite cronenberg film. im thinking because georges wife is supervisor for overall direction it stands better chance of being good. out of interest which other director does good zombie films?
  2. heres a good bit of immortal for you. ive maxed it out like i do sometimes πŸ‘»β˜ οΈπŸ₯ŠπŸ€—πŸ˜œ tbh i like these alot. imo there really good immortal work. first video is 60 mins from live show at wacken,2nd video is a classic immortal track from wacken, third video is a dramatic video and bit funny too and possibly easiest to get into if youve not heard immortal before, fourth link is my favourite album of theres. took a few plays as was totally different to anything id heard before but after that its one of my go to favourites. also do you see a Lemmy style vocal similarity between frontman abbath and lemmy. i do a bit tbh others say the same.let me know how you get on with some or all of this. great story sardonicist.imo thats how to tell a story like this. if it was now would youve held back on the alcohol so you could have remembered the show with a more clear head. am i assuming wrong. πŸ‘πŸ€˜πŸ₯ƒ
  3. balor looks interesting and funny from the clips ive seen. thanks πŸ‘will check it out. its bit different but thats a good thing from what ive seen so far
  4. thats a shame re not seeing motorhead live. i bet theyd be good to. yeah will send you link for immortal or abbath. probably the wacken show when i can find it. sounds like you liked watching motorhead live. were they amazing live. i can only imagine there music is better live than recorded stuff and thats stuff is solid and so good. re celtic frost and tryptokon. there too bands that i hear other bands talking them up alot. sounds cool though seeing them live.
  5. innominate are you looking forward to George Romero's final film being released. twilight of the dead. obviously it will be different as he cant direct for obvious reasons and the script was not fully finished by him. his wife is overseeing and approving the script which is done now. it will be different but im looking forward to it. ill see it without paying attention to reviews. πŸ₯ŠπŸ˜ could be risky but romero zombie films are nearly always really good.
  6. your right about motorhead. there so consistent in doing good albums imo. im not biggest fan of theres but i liked all the tracks i heard of theres. which is quite an achievement. did you see them live at all. people i know who saw them said they sometimes got louder throughout shows and could get too loud. did you listen to abbath or immortal. its the vocals that are similar imo. music is bit different as is black metal. there a band who i want to see live. there live videos are so good. the wacken live show is so good and abbath is so funny and so good at working the crowd 🀘😁

    Korn

i think from time to time alot of people have hated this bandπŸ˜‚. i certainly have although not for long. i used to like there debut back in the day. i recently listened to life is peachy again and i didn't like it when was fitst released and i expected not to like it again. it sounded pretty good. i didn't listen all way through but i liked what i heard. wouldn't say its my band but i too can appreciate a band who have changed there sound through there career and taken a few risks. very talented imo. have you got a favourite album of theres? when i listened to life is peachy. it was very strong record for 5 songs i heard and so catchy too. probably should listen to it all way through. very different to what i normally listen to but its good to mix things up a bit.
  8. i have not seen these but family members such as my brother really like borgen and the bridge. not seen it yet. rebus is a good one based in Scotland. thats loosely based on popular novels by ian rankin. not seen it in a while but enjoyed it. as i remember he is the rough talking heavy drinking detective who gets the criminals. πŸ‘ which is your favourite of programs you mentioned and why?
  9. thanks for the tip balor. tbh id say the same about midsommer murders. john nettles episodes are the best. that's shot in the three counties of Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire where i used to work alot. Many episodes featuring lovely countryside and many pubs is my take.hard to believe so many murders happened in such picturesque locations. i take it law and order had that more gritty style, city scenes.
  10. its definitely interesting program. i saw it on you tube. best to start with epoiside 1 imo of the chris Benoit documentary. if you do see it let me know what you think. theres a few curveball moments in there too. so thrilling and sad.
  11. balor surely theres got to be some episodes better than others. ive put you on the spot😁 they cant all be great. you may well be right about some episodes appealing more to us audiences.theres always some things that get lost when different countries watch something international will you tube it. see how i get on.
  12. innominate have you seen the dark side of the ring chris benoit documentary at all. very compelling and watchable. very long but goes by so quick. definitely an interesting case. very memorable for all the wrong reasons. i was a fan of chris benoit back in the day but obviously murdering his wife and son did put me off and still does a bit. the concussions may very well played a big part so maybe benoit was not complete monster.
  13. are there any favourite episodes youve got for law and order. theres got to be a few in the 400 plus episodes. theres a good one for bergerac involving lots of murders and masons, works well. very exciting and bit scary
  14. these black metal bands i cant work out what the name is from the logo. 1)night bringer 2)prosanctus 3)mistigo vargoth darkestra. hows this for a start.
  15. the new lad at work has a good resemblance to pallbearer axeman devin holt. hes devin from now on and not andyπŸ˜‚ has any one got any others
  16. has anybody got any recommendations for blended scotch or irish whisky. bells, famous grouse and Jameson are ones i normally like. teachers is good when i locate it😁
  17. Not seen the program but ive seen the cast list. There's some big names on there. It's prob on channel 5 in Uk so will give it a go at some point. bergerac is sometimes a murder mystery program. so for those episodes ive included it. john nettles did brilliant job imo with this. its set on jersey in the channel Islands so theres always nice scenery. program is very exciting at times which keeps me interested. catchy thene tune too. it's probably bit of a housewife's favourite program but i still like it regardless.
  18. strawberry i have a recommendation. its reckoned to be very much inspired by all the early gothic metal such as paradise lost, my dying bride and later stuff bit too, i read some of other gothic bands you like, i reckon youd like it. its really very very catchy but good. the band is called officium triste there from Holland and album is called death of gaia. let me know what you think of title track. obviously if you hate it id be interested to know why. keep it metal β˜ οΈπŸ‘»
  19. lindt 65% cocoa milk chocolate. its so good. its got a great cocoa taste and the lovely milk flavour which lindt has as its signature and so smooth as well. am i just weird with this? do other people like the higher percentage cocoa milk chocolate. am i just being different again πŸ˜‚
  20. macabre eternal sir, have you got any favourite murder mystery tv shows. colombo perhaps.

    Books?

balor yes understanding Heidegger. ok sounds like a challenge. all that metaphysics stuff including im pretty sure Heidegger was mentioned in the commentary for the matrix films. ken wilbur and cornel west certainly talked up some interesting ideas. obviously ive no idea if there any good but it was interesting hearing about the philosophies of the matrix film's and i definitely appreciated the matrix revolutions film alot more after hearing the commentary. re the divine comedy. i can recommend that if you like lots of interesting imagery. most interesting part for me was hell section. as books go its a poem but the translation i had, read more like a novel. definitely worth reading once. definitely i should read it again
  22. it could be a dead end thread. hopefully not literally for some forum members 😁 they read this and were never seen again. πŸ‘»you win none and lose loads sorry thats my gambling record. im digging myself a deep hole. i will stopπŸ˜‚.

    Books?

balor i hope reading antigone helps make sense of Heidegger's introduction to metaphysics. did it help? and at least you read a good book/play. re brother karamazov. thats one i need to read again as its been over a decade since i read it. it left a lasting impression on me though also the grand inquisitor sounds memorable character except for me sieve brain who completly forgotπŸ˜‚ have you every read dantes divine comedy.was quite interesting as i remember.
  24. out of interest what are peoples best murder mystery tv shows and why. here are mine 1)agatha christies poirot. i really enjoy watching David suchet play the famous belgian detective. there a bit dated now but i enjoy these still. Interesting locations and some funny bits in there which i like plus of course very exciting finishes to each episode imo. 2) midsummer murders- is a fairly easy watching series. A much older john nettles is great as one of the detectives, if you seen bergerac you will know what i mean. Haven't watched it in a while but always like it when i see it. Again picturesque country locations help too, apparently its one lots of actors do as an early acting job. im not really selling it but i like it😁
  25. first time for chicken liver. its pretty good. i sort of blitzed it in blender with soft cheese. it was a bit rich and a mistake tbh . i gave a spoonfull to my young daughter. she thought it was chocolate milkshake. what a shock she received 🀣
