Re: arab metal Agreed. Maybe it is because metal represents a spirit of rebellion and free thought - I certainly have heard it is so in India, rebelling against processed Bollywood stuff. Or maybe it is because it is the only extant music form to be actually agressive - after all, most countries have their own classical, dance and ballad traditions.
