  1. The food was top shelf too, killer Mediterranean menu. I could have stayed all day. These are their street cart fries, which are topped with garlic aioli, onions, green peppers, feta cheese, pepperoncinis, tomatoes, olives, and lamb. It has only been a couple of hours and I'm already craving them again. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  2. Can't say that I care of Lamb of God either, but welcome all the same. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  3. That makes more sense, I don't think I've ever seen a video like you're describing. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  4. Playthroughs seem pointless to me. I don't want to hear someone try their hardest to play someone else's song by themselves, why would anyone care to see that? I get the point of lyric videos, but I prefer to just have the album art as the background and the lyrics in the notes. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  5. Some Cutthroat Pale Ale as I anticipate my lunch. The place we're at has $3 pints on the weekends, and their food is awesome. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  6. The Great Deceiver sucked IMO. He did another melodic death metal band with some Greek dudes that wasn't that great either, but I dig his stuff with Skitsystem and Disfear. I only have the two most recent Disfear albums though, their older stuff is a little harder to find. The grindcore I was referring to was the album he did with Lockup, which basically just sounds like Napalm Death with his unique vocal style, and it's very much worth hearing. 7. Have you ever heard him doing vocals for crust and grind bands? It's a pretty great fit, so I get your point. Those voice breaks give the music an extra deranged quality that perfectly fits the moody songwriting. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  8. I'm not sure TBH. I haven't really thought much about it, but that may be something that one of the other members does, like handling our social media presence. Our bass player was going to school for music marketing and production, so I'll probably let him do it. My main concern is just getting the songs done so that we can start playing shows again and record the album. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  9. You trying to get yourself banned? Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  10. Sounds like she's done a great job. I don't know how well they turn out, but your recipes you post about always seem ambitious. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  11. Unequivocally. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  12. Dude, slow cooked pork, hot peppers, and prime Priest? Your fiancee is a lucky lady. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  13. This dark nectar. Nothing mind-blowing, but it is one of the few good beers from this Utah brewer who (for some reason) became a local institution. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  14. It's a different style, but I would argue that Johan Lindstrand of The Crown/Crown of Thorns is every bit as intense. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  15. We just finished recording a rough demo of our first doom/death song. I feel like the vocals and drums could have been better, but we'll see what it sounds like with some mixing and EQ. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  16. I can understand it not being for everyone, but that vocal style is something I truly love about old ATG. The first two albums of theirs are incredible, even though I hate that some of the songs on the second abruptly start and end with an "unfinished" feeling. They were masters of their craft, and sold out when they rid themselves of all emotional complexity and depth on SotS. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  17. That's how I feel about Quietus as well. Really good stuff, it just doesn't grab me like the other albums I mentioned. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  18. Sacramentum - Far Away From the Sun @Requiem, have you ever heard this? Seems like it would be right up your alley. These guys are the Swedish melodic black metal elite, I think they're even better than Dissection et all. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  19. I know the feeling, doom has been going a long way to calm my nerves lately as well. Evoken, almost as a rule, seem to only release great albums, but those three are my favorites from them. I really wish I remembered more of their live set, but I drank a lot that night. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  20. Come to think of it, I guess I haven't ever seen those on a shelf anywhere. They'll probably get a reissue after Tony dies and the vultures start picking away at his estate, but I wonder why he's not motivated to do it before then. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  21. That's such a great album. My other favorites from them are Antithesis of Light and Atra Mors, if you're in the mood for Evoken, don't skip those ones. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  22. I only met her a couple of times IRL, but she was really cool. She met her husband on the same forum and they had a son together. It's a sad story, the guy is totally lost and is moving back to his hometown for help with his son from his family right now. Anyway, welcome, I hope you have some good conversations here. 23. I've posted about them a few times here, but I don't see them being discussed much anywhere online. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
  24. Let's not pretend like we ever wanted anything else from them. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk
