These guys really seem to be hitting hard of late.  And been an absolute corker of a year for death metal - Asinhell, Autopsy, Cannibal Corpse, Dying Fetus, Obituary Vomitory all releasing some top stuff!

Seen them 3 times in the last 2 years and they are so good live. Spot on perfect and faithful to both HH and the CF sound. Won't be surprised if the album sounds great.

You would have been pleased to know my wedding song was Sweet Child O' Mine by your favorite LA sleaze rock band. This was Sept '88 and 4 or 5 songs from Appetite were all over the radio. But before the song could end a brawl broke out, the cops were called and things went rapidly downhill from there. 

All by train. Trains expensive in the UK but reasonably priced in Belgium and France. 

That sounds like an awesome holiday.

My wife and I danced to 'My Wine in Silence' at our reception.  'Songs of Darkness...' is one of the albums that helped me convert her from Latin music (she's Dominican) to Heavy fucking Metal.  She found, as I do, that MDB is ethereal, dark, classy, epic, and deliciously doomy.  Makes us feel doomed, it does, and we're already children of the Apocalypse.

Re Edinburgh the history of the city was fascinating, now I feel old recalling I was there 20 years ago. As an Australian visiting in the middle of that winter, though, not overly fond of the bitter cold.

Listened to all 4 off these.  All rocked hard.  Was surprised Jello is kicking so much butt - I hadn't heard any post Dead Kennedies stuff but thought he might have lost the plot like so many old punk guys!  I was so wrong!

Pick me up at the airport and we can listen to some of the metal we have in common on the drive down to the farm, while we have a little chinwag, talkin' shit about all these sad acts on the forum, it'll be fun. Then once on site we can have a few coldies, maybe nibble on a goat kebab or two, then cap the day off by mounting a few goats as the sun sets over Mount Blackwood (and I'm not talking about taxidermy bruv) and we'll have some cool stories to tell our grandkids. If your wife lets you of course. She probably wouldn't be too keen on you hanging around with some dirty obnoxious Yank when you're supposed to be on family time duty. Guess I could maybe run into the city and grab some expensive American consumer goods to bribe her with, just tell me what brands she's into.
