Hey Navy...think you were the one who said you didn't like anything by Sierra Nevada? Do me a favor, they sell Barrel-aged Narwhal in 4 packs. If you ever run across it, especially as a single...try it out. That stuff is great, especially with a little warmth on it.

Just snagged a 4 pack on your recommendation.  Oscar Blues quality has always delivered for me.

Miles Davis - "Sketches Of Spain" and "Jack Johnson" on CD 
A used Seymour Duncan Invader neck pickup, to go with the old-ass Invader I have in the bridge of this Schecter. I'm a 98% bridge pickup guy and I kind of hate to spend the cash on something that will mostly just be sitting there, but it looks better than a hole with chunks of foam.

Antichrist Imperium/III-upon further inspection this is a keeper....the tech death or tech black/death as the case may that I'm less fond of is is there particularly in the middle of the album, but they bring such diversity to extreme metal which is something I'm 100% behind and will support. This one is one of those albums methinks that require time to crack the code. The gratuitous Satanic lyrical themes are silly and metal at the same time....but when in hell do as the....hellions (I guess) do. 
Messa/Close-speaking of albums that require time....it's a grower for me. The vocals, the vocals, the vocals. 
Drudkh/ All Belong to the Night-starting on the first track....quite different from my past time with this band....but certainly holding my attention....my third cup of coffee doesn't hurt my focus here. 

Same. I'll need another spin or two before I can tell if it's a keeper.
 
NP: The Merry Thoughts - Psychocult 
I was just inspired to dig this back out. German Sisters Of Mercy lookalikes. It's been a few years. Would recommend to Navy, and maybe Goatmaster depending on mood.

Closest I could get to a good stout tonight was a local MA "Coffeehouse" porter from Berkshire Brewing. It was ok! Usually I'm thoroughly underwhelmed by coffee beers due to picky sonofabitch/high standards but I didn't mind this.
Also had some whiskey. Currently drinking a cider or three with just a skosh of rum in, for oomph. Tomorrow morning will rule. This is living.

I succumbed to hype. Founder's French Toast Bastard; Vanilla Cinnamon Maple bourbon barrel aged scotch ale. Whaaat????!  This shit is sick. As fortune would have it, my wife picked up some decadent cinnamon rolls-an absolute devil's duo if there ever was one. 
 

Love me some Ten-Fiddy. My best bud lives about 2 miles from the brewery, but alas no tasting there. It's a dry county.
I went bourbon. Eagle Rare. Too hard to resist. Plus I bought new bourbon glasses today, so by law I have to use them.
