Birthday haul included:
Cutthroat razor with stand, sharpening belt/pad, beard shaper (never going to use) and various oils (also a towel and cap which strangely enough doesn't make me look like I am having a mid-life crisis when I wear it). Various wines/meads from Raven Forge and also a t-shirt and absolute fucking beast of a pizza-cutter that I could easily mount on the wall beside my swords. O'Donnell Tough Nut Moonshine off of the folks - spirit infused with essences of aromatic hazelnuts, soft caramel and velvety nougat. Dangerous stuff as I can drink it neat and not really taste the alcohol. Might drop some in the coffee one morning when I am not needing to go anywhere in the coming week. -

If you like that late 80's SOD style thrash vibe, this is the record for you. Would have killed in '88. Great throwback record and nothing like other Bungle records. More like SOD with Dave Lombardo and Mike Patton without his usual theatrics.

It took me a solid ten years to really get into Enslaved, so I always sympathize when people say they haven't connected. There are some albums that still don't click for me - Vertebrae among them, actually. Glad to hear you're enjoying Utgard, it's a great album. Have you tried Isa and Ruun? Two of their stronger and more accessible offerings in my book. For their 90s stuff, my favorite (and for a while the only album I liked) was Blodhemn.

Enslaved - Utgard - this is a band I've tried to like for years but just never connected with. I own Vertebrae which is the only thing by them I partially like. Utgard is the first one I can say I actually enjoy.
