  1. My range of emotions are fuck yeah, fuck you, fuck it, and let's fuck. Metal (and music in general) tends to satisfy all of them. So I guess that's being emotionally engaged. I think I'm in the same place as TG, but I just do not have the prose to describe it that way. And Hungdog Millionaire - the big guy says all is forgiven. Just 27 goats and 50 lashes this time. He was in a pretty good mood.
  2. Oh we'll get there. We are professional list makers sir. Just don't ask the Goatmaster General to do it in a timely fashion. Curious on your choice of Akercocke as a current top 5. What are your thoughts on Renaissance? I love me some 'cocke. Definitely an all time band for me (just outside the top 10), but I've been somewhat lukewarm on it.
  3. It's all us new kids causing trouble because we skipped out on orientation.
  4. I may have to revisit. I bought it on release and spun it once or twice, but it didn't grab me. I always go back to Diabolical Conquest.

  6. Man I need a live gig in the worst sorta way. The next thing on my calendar this year is supposed to be Psycho Las Vegas in late August. It looks like it will still go on, but with a modified line-up. I doubt the European bands will be playing which sucks. There are plenty of bands I would like to see from the States, but damn it Mercyful Fate (never seen) and Emperor (awesome live last year when I saw them) in the same weekend? That would have been the highlight of the year for sure. Only other thing on my calendar this year would be Mass Destruction in November which I would expect to go on as planned. It's usually N. American bands so travel shouldn't be an issue. I'm digging this forum so far. I know a lot of the younger crowd go for Discord style chat boards, but I just never really cared for that. I just feel like I miss too much of the conversation.
  7. We've got a 10:30 Teams call today. I'll do what I can.
  8. It's not Servants of the Countercosmos, but it's not as bad as the latest UADA or anything. I pre-ordered based on the fact it was Wode. I mean no way it won't be good right? I wouldn't have bought it had I a chance to listen to the whole thing first. Every damn time I pre-order it ends up being a disappointment. I can't see you liking it.
  9. You forgot Satan. He's going to be upset.
  10. Somme will float your boat. 1914 is another. Sodom anyone? Panzerfaust is pretty great, but as always, Bolt Thrower is the correct answer.
  11. Sweet Freedom and Demons & Wizards are all you need. I do like The Magician's Birthday and Very Heavy, Very Humble but I rarely reach for them. Picked up the vinyl reissues of Bolt Thrower's For Victory & Mercenary and Mayhem - Dawn of the Black Hearts from Hell's Headbangers. Not that I don't already have the digital, cd, and surely the tapes (somewhere), but I didn't have them on vinyl. Oh, and the Spectral Wound vinyl is on the way too. For April: Eternal Champion - Ravening Iron (finally showed up - ordered in November) Wode - Burn in Many Mirrors Osees - Live at Henry Miller Library Big Sur Nekromantheon - Visions of Trismegistos Haapoja - Haapoja Altar of Eden - The Grotto Screams The Wraith - Gloom Ballet The Gnosis - The Gnosis Yuka Zolo - Bleed Hollow Mirrors - s/t Hallas - Tales of Future Past (vinyl because I already had the cd but needed the vinyl) My name is Don and I am an addict.
  12. Murg fucking rules. I was blasting Stravan first thing this morning much to the dismay of my 90 year old neighbors. Maybe not everyone's idea of black metal, but I'm really digging the new Mork (Katedralan). Riffs upon riffs upon riffs.
  13. Hungarian Ghoulash is best with goat meat.
  14. Write him out of the will. No one who dislikes Rush is worthy of inheritance. One the drive home from getting shitfaced on a Sunday (also known as playing golf): Demolition Hammer - Tortured Existence
  15. Demolition Hammer, Mercyful Fate, Black Witchery
  16. You make a bad impression? Certainly not. I would say that I will miss the sour old apple eater, but his schtick does get to wearing on you after 5 years or so. Hopefully the rest of the gang will come along soon enough.
  17. Circle of Ouroborous - Unituli
  18. Already pissing in your new bed... That Spectral Wound is pretty special. I think this was my top black metal(ish) choice last year if I remember correctly https://youtu.be/FhqK8M_wdGo
  19. Yeah, FNG here. Not metal pickups, but I did grab a couple of good older prog albums today. U.K. - U.K. Atomic Rooster - Death Walks Behind You Also grabbed Uriah Heap - Sweet Freedom the other day.
  20. Okay, it's me. I'm another refuge too attached to these new wanks to not talk shit with them on the regular. I reside in the geographic sweatbox that is North Florida and travel as much as possible, mostly to watch live gigs. I'm into all kinds of metal, love goats, Satan, and firmly believe Geddy Lee is in fact god. I am also very bad at introductions, so that will have to do. I do hereby solemnly swear to apologize whenever I'm an asshole, lend audio wankery intel whenever I can, and promise to be a responsible internet forum citizen. If not, I will sacrifice 53 virgins on the first full moon after my buffoonery.
