  1. Watain - Casus Luciferi It occurred to me recently that I haven't listened to this album or this band in so long that I had pretty much completely forgotten what they even sounds like. It's less "norsecore"-ish than I remember, lol.
  2. Véhémence - Par le Sang Versé
  3. Axis of Light - S/T Gorgoroth - Under The Sign of Hell Hades - The Dawn of the Dying Sun
  4. Most contemporary OSDM is about as exciting as watching paint dry. But this Funeral Chant track rips!! Raw, nasty death metal with a blackened tinge. Very promising stuff. Album releases Nov 1.
  5. Exchange rate. It's listed on bandcamp for $9 GBP, which amounts to $17.51 CAN. Hard pass haha.
  6. Track from the upcoming debut from The Temple. Featuring members of Ulcerate but WAY less techy and avant-garde. This is straight forward Black/Death and it sounds VERY promising. Releases Nov 19.
  7. Sargeist - Unbound Dearth - To Crown All Befoulment
  8. New track from an upcoming Havukruunu EP. These guys can do no wrong in my opinion. I've loved everything they've released thus far and this looks to be no exception. Needless to say I'm excited. Releases Oct 8.
  9. Celtic Frost - Morbid Tales Faidra - Six Voices Inside Rotting Christ - Thy Mighty Contract
  10. That Mork album is definitely good...... but not sure I wanna pay $17 CAN for a digital album😬
  11. Pan-Amerikan Native Front - Little Turtle's War Hate Forest - Hour of The Centaur Hate Forest - Sorrow Rübezahl - Remnants of Grief & Glory
  12. Bathory - The Return Mystifier - Wicca

  14. Bonehunter - Dark Blood Reincarnation System Rübezahl - Remnants of Grief & Glory The Ruins of Beverast - Rain Upon The Impure
  15. Alright, here's a few of mine... Immortal - Battles In the North Great album, one of Immortal's best, imo, but that cover is just plain stupid. If this was a simple black and white cover like the classic Darkthrone covers it wouldn't be nearly as bad, but that plain white background is terrible. Monstrosity - Millennium Musically, one of the better examples of technical death metal done well. That cover though..... not so much. Every time I look at it I'm baffled as to what I'm actually looking at. The artist who rendered it probably didn't know either lol. Dawn - Slaughtersun One of the best black metal albums ever, but I can't stand the cover. Just simply not a cool image, doesn't suit the music either. Visually there's too much orange and yellow and it honestly hurts my eyes haha. They could've done a lot better here.
  16. Rubezahl - Remnants of Grief and Glory Pretty cool pagan black metal from Alaska.
  17. Lamp of Murmuur - Submission and Slavery
  18. Hooded Menace - The Tritonus Bell (2021) This is a pleasant surprise. I've always thought Hooded Menace were decent but could never get big into them. This album might've changed my mind. The King Diamond / Mercyful Fate vibes have sold me!
  19. Dungeon Serpent - World of Sorrows https://dungeonserpentmdm.bandcamp.com/album/world-of-sorrows A fresh and unique take on old school-ish death metal that is sorely lacking these days. Digging this one.
  20. Ossuary - Supreme Degradation
