Indeed. They were amazing, too... I almost forgot how much better apples are right off the tree. We're right in the heart of apple country (take that, Immortal) so everything here is pretty legit, but I've run across some of those flavorless monstrosities before.

I´ve been lurking here every now and then. ?

I´ve had plenty going on in my life, started a new job.. decided i don´t want to be a slave for someone else my whole life so i quit that job. Did a life direction reset and studied for a spell, then started my own company. Hmmm.. found a new girlfriend, we moved together with her and her daughter + my own kid lives with us bi-weekly. I guess those are the main things i´ve been occupied with. Oh and bought the Solar i was drewling about earlier, no evertune after all though.. maybe when i get a 7-string at some point. ?
How is everyone doing? I think i need to take some serious time to catch up with old posts. ?

Just embrace the darkness, it´s part of everyones life in one moment or another, theres just no avoiding it. I don´t agree that any music alone will change your personality though, i think certain type of personality is drawn towards certain type of music. Life experiences is what will alter your personality mostly (I suppose music is part of it though!). It´s a process that will continue until you die, and to fully benefit from it, you need to intentionally process these things to help you make a person you wish to be.

I do think it's really a worn out cliche. Not once have i seen someone smash an instrument and thought it was cool or badass. To me it's disrespecting the instrument, and every person who would love to own a guitar as good but just can't afford one. That said everyone is entitled to do whatever the hell they want with their stuff, just doesn't make you any cooler. In my books makes someone a bit of an idiot. I know i was back when i did it. I've never been huge on showmanship either, quite possibly because i hate all kinds of pretending. I prefer that the music does the talking. Everything else around it to me is pointless nonsense.

When Jimi Hendrix did it I think it was between him and the guitar. They had a "special relationship" that almost certainly included some hate. Pete Townsend was the certified bad boy of his time. The Who were always the worst. They had a reputation to keep up. The first time I saw someone smash up their guitar on stage was in 1980. It was Paul Stanley of Kiss. I even secured a part as he was tossing them into the audience. But it was of course not his good guitar. Everybody could see that. 
My thoughts on this is that if they are your instruments, they are yours to do whatever you want with, including smashing them up. However, I fail to see what's "badass" about destroying your own property just for the hell of it. If it's a part of some greater show of message, sure, why not, but the general rule of thumb is that musicians should be careful with theatrical antics. It doesn't always play out as they had imagined it would.

The smashing of instruments had its time. You don't see it often these days and I'm thankful for that. Not once in the decade of playing guitar have I thought smashing one would be fun or cool. It's just a played out trope, Spinal Tap shit, and there are more lasting, impactful ways to leave an impression on your audience.

I've been to hundreds of gigs and I can't recall anyone doing this. I think it sort of reached its apex in the 70s and slowly dwindled from there.

I am looking for somebody to have a crack at doing some vocals for me on some of my tracks.
You can vocalise about whatever you like, within reason. I don't want stupid stuff like a nun being raped by demons or that kind of stuff. I am in my 40s, and into more mature content.
Your age has zero to do with it. I don't care if you are 16, or 60.
I love to make music, as frustrating as it is, and would love for somebody to complete a few songs every now and then with some vocals for me.
I do everything with making the music and videos, as it is just a one man project, but I just can't vocalise!
I do have a couple of albums available on the usual streaming services that everybody knows.

Basically a pretty normal 25y/o dude working a 40hour p/week job earning money to spend it on music.Living in a small island called Malta. 
I just recently started buying and making a collection of different band albums. I don't really have a favorite band but I kinda admit that breaking benjamin is what helped me start singing. 
 
Started a band 4 years ago, my first band, and had to change all the line up 2 years late so  I had to restart and we're still working on al album but managed to do alot of gigs and some abroad to.
I want to travel the world and play with my band in every single country . It's not too much of a big dream is it? anyways...it wouldn't be a dream if it wasn't big.
