I have a real bad habit of not getting in to the new "hottest" thing in the market.. I guess at the moment it´s pubg. I did have a good stint in Battlefield 1 since it´s one of my most favourite franchises, but apart from that i´m a "lousy" gamer. My friends do have a laugh at me.. "Why the hell you spend loads on a computer then use it to play some shitty pixel games?" The game they meant was not shitty at all though, it was Space rangers 2.. Amazingly done open world mechanics. Lately it´s been FTL:Faster than light. It literally took me several years to try it out, it was just waiting there in my steam library. Turned out to be one of my all time favourites! I seem to be drawn away from triple a gaming for years now, they just bore me really. Stuff like Prison architect, Xenonauts, Rimworld etc. just have some appeal since they are game mechanic driven and everything else comes after.

Accidentally came across a band called Forest of shadows couple days ago, been hooked ever since.

I tried to switch to a rock radio station few times but they of course noticed immediately. I thought when my contract ended that i should superglue the station selection to something annoying but figured better not, since it´s likely i´ll work there another time too.

We have our own sort of trick or treating day here called Nuutinpäivä (St. Knut's Day), where kids dress up and go from door to door to get candy basically. Halloween is getting bigger and bigger though, propably because finns love to party, and it´s just another excuse to do so. We don´t have trick or treating during halloween though (i think), decorations, good food (and booze), candy and a bit of a masquerade going on. I must add it´s one of the most commercial parties there are.. still if it´s fun.. fuck it.. just go along with it.

I have to agree with someone who earlier mentioned pointless pop songs. Especially annoying when you are force fed in a workplace (used to work at a place where majority wanted a shitty pop radiostation), and then something gets stuck in your head.. oh the horror! And of course the station mainly played the same songs every day, so it was a neverending loop of agony..

Haha.. This is what i am called everywhere else pretty much.. When i registered here i took the name of a 2 man project we had in the past, since i figured i am going to use it for my future personal projects too. It just felt wrong, since it used to be something more than me alone. It has kinda bothered me since registering so i figured finally to ask help sorting it.

Haha.. i had the exact same though when i clicked the "unread content" button, but thought.. i guess it´s not that big of a deal. Didn´t want to start bitching as soon as i´m back anyway. It´s a bit of an annoyance, but i can live with that if it´s needed. EDIT:Replied to few of the messages, and now i feel like a spammer. lol I think the way to do it, is to welcome anyone who has visited more than just the time they register, if that haven´t happened I´m just going to ignore them.

I did only listen to a one song and not even entirely, so the comparison might be well off. So they are that big then. Not that surprised i haven´t heard of them though, not really keen into following the modern mainstream metal bands.. I´m rather old school and i do like my weird stuff too. Anyway.. welcome i hope you stick around.

Yeah i´ve asked a namechange.. it just didn´t feel right to use the name of a 2 man project i had in the past.. i originally chose the name here because i figured i´d start using it for my own personal projects too, but just wasn´t right.. it´s been bothering me (sometimes the smallest things do..) so it needed sorting. This is what i´m called everywhere else, so why not here too. ps.my little over week absence was due to not having a computer, had to downgrade to squeeze some money for living. Got a working pc again so easier to visit the forum again. (i can´t stand browsing forums with a phone, therefore i don´t do it)

lol looks like i´ve repeated myself. Some reason i thought it was a new topic, and forgot i´ve ever answered to one before. I suppose my brain still works the same as it did before.

Had to check it out.. was sort of like Epica, but worse.. *shrugs* Are they big? Just wondering, unless a band is big enough abbreviations are kind of useless. I suppose it´s a rather large failure when even the biggest fans of the band don´t like it at all, and it´s not even a pop album this time! Not a huge worry though, plenty of amazing back catalogue to enjoy!

It´s not either. Not my cup of tea at all, but a friend keeps talking about it. All my gaming lately has been nes and snes games with an emulator.

I have the same thing with the latest.. just not a great album. There isn´t even a hint that it might grow on me either. Feels sort of.. forced. I suppose it´s telling that the best track of the album is Frozen illusion included in the japanese version (I still prefer the original version though..).

8/10 I´m a sucker for low-midtempo death.. Some older more weird Finnish metal.. Just one of the songs that always brings a smile to my face.

Oh dear.. 2 bands that i´ve discovered in the past few months that stuck with me.. Alien fucker and Uaral. I absolutely enjoy the crap out the both! Uaral - Sounds of pain is a genuine masterpiece in my mind. As to what is currently playing.. Lord Belial - Mark of the beast. Bit of a weird song. Somehow i really like the mood, but somehow it´s bit.. boring i suppose.

I´m still alive at least. I´ve been too exhausted mentally (too much forced socializing) and physically too to do much of online interactions, the problem of being an introvert.. There is a limit, and sometimes the limit will be filled with shit you would not prefer. Trying to finish my cook school, not much left and been practicing at a restaurant, working mostly evenings so usually when i get home i just shut the outside world away and grab a book to my hands. The free days that i´ve had i always try to focus on my daugter, who i haven´t seen nearly enough feels like (weekly but still..) Funny thing i saw an email of this post and meant to reply to it earlier, but it just slipped my mind. Got another email today reminding me of this great place. I haven´t been awol just from here, basically from everything apart from little bit of facebooking. Of course listening to Metal every day, no better way to relax and get the annoying shit out of your head imo. \m/

Just an amazing album, there is just something that got its hooks on me right away from the first listen, and the attraction haven´t gone away. Messe noire is not just my favourite track on the album, but one of my favourite tracks of all time. Definitely bit of an "odd" album, but that just makes it special to me.
