  1. Glad to hear you're ok BAN, and I hope you're back to normal soon Relentless. All jobs have ups and downs, but zookeeping takes it to the absolute extreme. Last Monday I helped to deliver a baby alpaca (affectionately known as Elvis the transgender alpaca as we somehow got the gender wrong when we sexed it at birth). It was the best working day I have ever had. This week we lost Elvis to fly strike and possible immune complications as he was premature by about two weeks. On wednesday, our female fox injured her ear and when we took her to the vet we found a serious infection and they also reckon she may have a genetic condition causing her muscles to waste away. We are currently waiting for some test results and if they come back positive we will have to put her down. On top of all the drama at the zoo, at lunchtime today I had a very distraught Nikki on the phone as she had just lost two of her three rabbits to myxomatosis, and thinks her remaining rabbit may also have it (there is currently no cure and it has a 99% fatality rate). Her rabbits were her whole world, they meant everything to her. ..... I really can't catch a break...
  2. 8/10 not the biggest Hendrix fan out there, but can't deny how good he is Let's mix it up a bit. Unfortunately I can't listen to this one anymore, but I still love Phyfe's stuff.
  3. Not much of a fan of musicals myself, though the book of Mormon has been on my list for a while.
  4. Urinating to Slayer while covered in Marmite... Now that's something I never thought I'd type.
  5. 4/10 just not my kinda thing I'm afraid, though I like the energy.
  6. Thin Lizzy - Sitamoia (Live 1974)
  7. Wow, has it been that long? Well, Charlotte went off with another guy. I finally admitted to... having very strong feelings for a very close friend of mine called Nikki. We became very close though it was never official. Fast forward a few months to the summer ball (kinda like prom but all years are welcome) and she's sticking her tongue down the throat of some guy she barely knew right in front of me, and only realised afterwards. It absolutely broke me and we've barely spoken since. Since then I have re-found my faith (I know some here won't agree with me but that's up to them to decide) and have started on a rather intensive self improvement attempt. As a direct result of that, I've whole-heartedly thrown myself into my studies/ work and don't seem to be doing so badly.
  8. Gone to sh*t, so I just ignore it now. I can't even remember what was going on last time I was on here.
  9. Yeeeaaah... the male kinda nicked off with it while I was trying to get a stone out and I couldn't be bothered chasing him.
  10. Well I'm back, good to see the place hasn't changed much, how we all doing? As for me, I passed my first year of university with first class honours and I'm now doing a short work placement as a keeper at a local zoo before I go back to university in September.
  11. This has to be the best job I've had, if only I was actually paid to do it.
  12. Looks like this show season is going to be a good one. The main show at tutbury has roughly 200 combatants signed up so far.
  13. This# Guess where I'm gonna be tomorroew
