To be fair it has settled well at the 20 mins point to the extent that the vocals aren't actually a problem. They fit the wacky mentality of the sound as a whole. As you say FA it is an album that is full of quirky melody but still grinds like a motherfucker.

!T.O.O.H! "Order & Punishment" - not heard this before and a few minutes in I am not sure I like it but I will stick with it. I am looking at BAN's Top 100 DM list and it's first on the list (although the list is in no particular order).

The client I am working with at present is in Carlisle and one of the team sent me a picture earlier of the town underwater basically. There's no trains running because the lines have been flooded so as well as having tomorrow off I might be working from home a lot this week. On a different note I may have secured the funding for a deposit to buy a house although I need to read into a few things more thoroughly but the situation is looking more positive than it was a few weeks ago.

Cardhu Gold Reserve will be making an appearance later. Just for a night cap like, considering I have the day off tomorrow (or rest of the week if Cumbria doesn't drain soon).

We got the usual grovelling phone call apology last night. Blaming her "medication making her tired". Oh that would be the same medication that you are not supposed to drink on but you picked up a bottle yesterday when we took you shopping?

Got back to basics last night with a Newcastle Brown Ale. Been one of my favourite tipples since I was a teenager (except I got to drink it out of my dimple glass pint pot so looked about 50 drinking it). There's a cupboard full of booze already for the sister in laws' 40th although the tone got lowered yesterday when the gf's younger brother confirmed he was attending (hooray my favourite person) and we had to buy Carling - or "piss in a glass" to give it the scientific name!

Might finally get around to picking up that Cruciamentum release tomorrow. Just been handed a pre-paid credit card as part of some promotion for buying something so could have a very good fucking time over the next two days.

I have been bashing that a few times of late too although "Grand.." is my introduction to them.

After spending an entire morning of our hard earned weekend fixing the Dragon in Law's tv and installing her Amazon Fire she throws a fucking fit saying how she never wanted anything other than normal tv. I have listened plenty to Amorphis "Karelian Isthmus" this week and although I am definitely more familiar with it I am no more enamoured with it overall. There's good bits but overall it's just "meh". It has promise but never delivers on it. I can remember the riffs but still feel underwhelmed by them. It has been a good exercise in getting to know an album better though and i will repeat the process of listening once a day for a week on other albums. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
