Ok so in a thread on this forum post i went and said led zeppelin are overrated and not metal. After spend today listen to all of there albums up to physical graffiti and ignoring houses of the holy. I have decided they are not over rated at all in fact jimmy page is a good guitar player. nope they don't. not my local ones. hence why i listen to radio online or on my i phone. metal never really gets played on the radio over here in england the media as always been really bias to it.

no its not the internet that is killing metal. to me it is two things. 1. ilegall dowloading. people seem to keep defending illegal dowloading and saying music should be free. this complete rubush how would you feel if you put all your time and effort into something and cost you money to do so then you are not making money back because someone is illegal dowloading it. ignorance is the root of this problem people not undestand how much it actually cost for an artist to record mix mater realise and promote his music. also the record labels are a falt for giving us such shity products. i will always pay for music and i will always buy physical copy to. OK second point reality tv shows. music has now become about who is popular and who rather than who is talented. reality TV is destroy music because it means an idiot that comes across as good and is popular can become an over night star. the internet isn't the problem it is how it is used and who it is used bye. because of the internet there has been a massive resurgence in live music to. if it seems metal is dieing it is because now any idiot can grow the hair and call them self metal. or what have you.

to me and in my opinion they re influence on heavy metal. in the since that they influenced so of the later heavy metal bands. i would agree with guest 666 heavy metal means different things in different decades. i would say queen and blue oyster cult are hard rock. queen crosses over into prog rock to.

i was only listen to one era of music and not anything else. i was listen to just NWOBHM. i was a big nu metal fan in my teens then when i got to like twenty i stoped listen to metal really and got into prog rock and jazz and ambient music. then i went back to metal because i heard a band called blut aus nerd and this lead my to another styles if metal. i try to be as opened mind as i can and find new music and new bands but i really have to say most of what i here just dosent do it for me. but i try. i do like some metalcore to. but my advise to you is to stay open minded as you possible can. listen to other bands see what you think don't stay in one year or decade or style try to come out of it. if you do that and think fuck i still feel the same i would say carry on being stuck in that time warp.
