Ah I miss the days when my sight was good enough to be involved in a striking discipline (Tae Kwon Do in my case). I'd say do it - at the very least you'll get a great workout and learn some practical self defence skills.

On a happier note classic slasher films put me in a good mood. John Carpenter's Halloween should erase any and all thoughts of Sharknado. Sadly though it does remind me that awful remakes are not limited solely to action films. It should be a crime, punishable by death, to tamper with classic films if the end result is unwatchable.

If those elements add to the music being crafted I see no reason to complain. Too often though such elements are simply a gimmick adding nothing to the music. Of course this isn't isolated to electronica influences - keyboards, folk instruments, etc are also used in often detrimental manners.
