  2. Re: Rate and Slate rating - well performed vocals be they harsh or clean slating - that no one has posted in the rate the song above you thread for about a day
  3. Re: Now...? Eating - nothing Drinking - nothing Listening - Excalion Doing - going nuts like I'm in a mosh pit 'cause I'm bored Thinking - I have got to find out what cool bands are heading my way
  4. Re: The Rant hmmm 6/10, I'm not the most religious person going around but I do think the general Idea of religions is spot on, it's a worthy cause to try and live one's life by some tenets of the bible such as being kind to others where possible, I just don't believe in a supreme deity that will judge us when we die. ranting about my parents constant criticism of the clothes I wear, for example today I'm wearing my Helloween shirt (cause Helloween are pretty fucking awesome) parents: "you're really goona wear that?" me: "of course I'm gonna wear it, I like the band and the shirt" parents: "couldn't you wear something normal like your brothers?" and so on every single time I wear one of the 16 metal shirts I own, it just gets old, they don't seem to understand that I don't care what people think of me, I make it plainly obvious that I'm a headbanger and don't give a shit if people judge me for it,
  5. Re: What Are You Listening To? Excaliion - The Wingman
  6. Re: Who are your current top 5 bands? shameless self promotion really doesn't suit you NTNR lol anyway Candlemass Death Venom Led Zepplin Pantera
  7. Re: 334 members and where is everyone??? seems traffic is currently non-existant, I really need to work out when people are actually on here oh and if my spelling totally sucks its because the time where I am is currently quarter to two in the morning
  8. Re: Favourite metal quote here's one I'm stealing from Metal: A Headbangers Journey Sam Dunn (interviewer): a lot of people are saying black metal is starting to lose touch with its roots... Necrobutcher (Mayhem):Which ones? Who are they? who the fuck are you talking to? FUCK THEM!!! Sam Dunn: uh do you have a comment on that? Necrobutcher: yeah I got a comment...FUCK YOU
  9. Re: Here is my all time fave. Dave did write a book, and fucking hell he's just three relapses away from an even twenty times through rehab, HOW IS HE STILL ALIVE?
  10. Re: Denver Doomfest II oh how I would love there to be a dedicated festival for well any type of metal in Australia, it'd be so cool to organise something like that, and now I'm even more jealous of all the metalheads in the US, Europe and everywhere else that has insane numbers of festivals each year oh and BlutAusNord I'm actually listening to Nevertanezra - Seperation Anxiety right now, pretty cool although the vocals are just a little too harsh for my taste
  11. Re: intro to prog hooray for australian bands, I'll be checking them out first...hmmm now if only I could find some good aussie power metal bands
  12. Re: What Are You Listening To? Death - Scream Bloody Gore
  13. Re: suggestions? some of them I have listened to in the past but like I said it's been several years since I've listened to death or black metal so it's difficult for me to remember everything that I have and haven't heard, I do remember listening to Death, Dismember and Arsis, honestly what's made me start listening to this stuff again is Arch Enemy, one of my mates posted one of their songs (I think it was Nemesis) on his facebook and it got me interested in well performed harsh vocals, what turned me away from the harsh stuff in the first place was finding all these bands with vocals so extreme no one could ever possibly understand them
  14. Re: Albums you feel are overrated Cradle Of Filth - Damnation And A Day, it's a fair enough album and all but I don't think it deserves to be praised quite as much as it is, in my opinion Nymphetamine is much better Icoincidentally Nymphetamine is also my fave CoF album and the last that I found to be truly brilliant sadly I sold it when I ditched my death and black metal albums)
  15. Re: Now...? wait so you joined twenty odd days after me and have over 900 more posts then me? man do I ever need to step up my contributions anyway Eating - nothing Drinking - Water Listening - Rob Rock Doing - not much Thinking - far too much lag on Halo now
  16. Re: Albums you feel are overrated yuck the last thing we need is another avenged sevenfold ruining the credibility of metal as legitimate music, which leads me to my next point: every album by avenged sevenfold, trivium, killswitch engage, bullet for my valentine etc is EXTREMELY over-rated
  17. Re: Now...? no rage quitting for me, I got my revenge on the guy in the next game with a snipe I will never be able to pull off ever again, and now I'm watching the clip of that game to relive my vengeance over and over again
  18. Re: Rate and Slate rating - the insane head shot I just pulled off slating - that I will never EVER be able to do it again
  19. Re: Albums you feel are overrated I've got a couple of South African friends and they have awesome taste in music, they are absolutely mental metal heads, the down side however is they will not listen to ANYTHING that doesn't have clean, powerful, vocals so they hate thrash, death and black metal, they also hate nu metal but that's not a bad thing anyway I think Ozzy Osbourne's solo work is for the most part over-rated
  20. Re: Rate and Slate rating - Halo slating - that sinking feeling when you get stuck by a plasma 'nade
  21. Re: Now...? Eating - nothing Drinking - nothing Listening - Helloween Doing - playing Halo 3 Thinking - where the fuck did that plasma grenade come from?
  22. Re: A non-Metal singers take on 5 greats with bands I don't listen to frequently I have a hard time remembering the names of vocalists but the "singer" in Black Label Society is woefully bad in my opinion one of the worst going around
  23. Re: gaming random ass sticks and ricochet headshots can only mean one thing, it's Halo time again hooray
  24. Re: Albums you feel are overrated this is how far behind aussie music trends are: through the last two years of primary school and the first half of secondary school grunge was the most popular form of music around, I finished primary school in 2003 (coincidentally the same year I discovered metal in the form of Pantera, really should thank my cousin for saving me from the horror of nirvana and soundgarden) this may be wrong but I'm pretty sure grunge died out around the mid to late 90's everywhere else in the world which leads me to albums I think are over-rated: every grunge album ever made
