  1. Re: Ban the user above you! banned because I'm headbanging while I type, metal's version of multitasking lol
  2. Re: A non-Metal singers take on 5 greats poor "Ripper" the only solid gig he's had is guest singing on just about every Yngwie Malmsteen album (the little singing Yngwie lets him do anyway) I swear Owens will one day be kicked out of his own solo project
  3. Re: 5 word thread! very unmetal headbangers ball MTV
  4. Re: Effects Pedals me, wow I don't even remember typing that
  5. Re: Ban the user above you! banned for having a name far too similar to the title of a killswitch engage song
  6. Re: A non-Metal singers take on 5 greats wasn't "Ripper" Owens in Iced Earth for a while? they should have kept him in the band and they'd be brilliant, and speaking of truly dreadful singers...James Hetfield, seriously since the black album it sounds like he's trying to take a shit after every fucking sentence i.e. "waiting for the one-UH, the day that never comes-UH"
  7. Re: Rate the song above you! not what I expected, I liked it 7.5/10 YaYB489ZgAw
  8. Re: What Are You Listening To? modern beatles? they must be fucking awful anyway Arch Enemy - Nemesis
  9. Re: A non-Metal singers take on 5 greats I like Barlow's voice a lot better then the new guy's but I wish to revoke calling Barlow a "great singer" I'm sick of him now
  10. Re: Now...? Eating - chocolate Drinking - nothing Listening - Dimmu Borgir Doing - playing Dante's Inferno Thinking - I should really start thinking about sleep since it's two in the morning
  11. Re: Rate the song above you! well Ranothin you've caught me in the right mood for harsh vocals and that was pretty cool 8/10 7ffg6S-Bq4k so here's some harsh vocals right back
  12. Re: great albums I don't hate harsh vocals but I need to be in the right mood when I listen to them, even with clean vocals there are certain bands I listen to depending on my mood i.e. I'll listen to Priest and Maiden when I just want hard hitting metalness, if I want something more melodic I listen to some of the now rather large collection of power metal I've got etc. bands like Cradle Of Filth, Venom, Arch Enemy and Dimmu Borgir do get a listen occasionally but mainly when I'm in a more aggressive mood
  13. Re: Regional Scenes/Sounds VS. Individuals as I've already said I don't focus on the regional scenes or indvidual sounds exclusively, I look for something that excites me, that makes me think yeah that's different and I like it, I'm very happy that for the moment I'm having those moments a lot since it means my iPod has gone from having about five hundred songs on it to being completely full at nine hundred meaning I need a second one
  14. Re: 334 members and where is everyone??? when I first joined it seemed like nothing ever happened here, then I left it for a few months, came back and there was heaps going on, now it seems to be slowing down again, still better discussing metal here then discussion boards on facebook (which may no longer exist they change fb so fucking often)
  15. Re: Rate the song above you! yep I'd listen to that again 7/10 R4Dn02bR4pg
  16. Re: Albums you feel are overrated totally agree, I prefer both Ride The Lightning and ...And Justice For All to Master Of Puppets anyway Slayer - Seasons In The Abyss, don't get why it gets viewed as one of their best when it's so boring, just about all the riffs sound similar and generic in fact the only songs on that album I find interesting are War Ensemble and the title track Seasons In The Abyss
  17. Re: What Are You Listening To? Daga - December's Misery (metalweb) [don't particularly like it]
  18. Re: Effects Pedals thanks mate, wow talk about following stereotypical Australian speech patterns
  19. Re: 334 members and where is everyone??? this is the only metal related forum I've been a member of, and it's great except that it seems no one is ever online when I am
  20. Re: Favourite place to listen to metal ah school, I miss school 'cause at lunch my mates and I would just hang around comparing metal, that just doesn't happen at university, though having said that I have noticed a few people (besides myself) wearing metal shirts around the uni so I try and chat with them when I can
  21. Re: Regional Scenes/Sounds VS. Individuals yeah South America has some fucking awesome bands, really shouldn't overlook bands just for their geographical location Iceni
  22. Re: great albums so far as black metal goes I really dig Venom, have ever since I first heard them, I know people always say Mercyful Fate were a proto-black metal band (I'm not one of them) and I like them, NTNR did show me some funeral doom stuff a while back (funeral doom christmas songs from memory) that were interesting if not necessarily suited to my tastes
  23. Re: 5 word thread! so much for five words
  24. Re: Ban the user above you! banned because I'm seriously looking into Australian metal bands (since I've found awesome bands everywhere else it's about time I start looking in my own country)
  25. Re: Rate the song above you! quite liked that one I'd say 7.75/10 this is what came up when I typed Australian Metal into youtube Y1aAhGenDW4
