Re: wtf I've had similar experiences, except I've had people tell me anything that doesn't have harsh vocals isn't metal. Ludicrous. In your case, some people won't accept evolution (for people who only like trad. heavy metal), or they're just downright, well, stolid. MegaMetal can "educate" her all she wants, but if she doesn't want to listen, it's a lost cause. He should just let it go and move on. No point in fretting over this. It's all music regardless of how you classify it (or don't for that matter).

Re: Jackyl Jackyl is unfairly lumped into "hair metal." They didn't have that image at all, and they often had some neat southern influences in their music.

Re: *HELP* , which song is this ????? Can you post higher quality files? It's not very clear. I feel like I may recognize that vocalist, but it's not ringing any bells at the moment because I'm so tired. It doesn't sound like Maiden at all, but it's definitely a recording from the '80s.

Re: Shit Music Ah yes, Nevermore. A great band. Shame about Loomis and Williams leaving, however. To be completely honest, I'm jealous of you. At the moment, I find myself gravitating toward other forms of music instead of metal. I'm sure the flame will be rekindled at some point in the near future, but for now I'm heavily into electronic-based stuff. Doesn't mean my love for our music is any less though.
