I've only been to a couple black metal specific metal shows and they were probably the least sketchy/dangerous metal shows I've been to. Mostly just people standing around with their arms folded, no moshing, very little headbanging. I'm sure plenty of the people there were anti-social, edgy weirdos but as long as you just don't talk to them they're relatively harmless.

I just previewed that Kvaen album myself. It's a fun ripper for sure, I definitely see why it's getting some hype. Not sure I like it enough to buy it though. I'm trying to be more conservative with my new music spending these days. NP: Glemsel - Forfader (2022) Just picked this up, Danish BM very similar to Afsky and very good. And it's NYP on bandcamp, win win.

They just removed 100% of covid restrictions and mandates in the province where I live. I foresee a massive spike in cases and hospitalizations in the not-too-distant future. People are celebrating the end of covid and planning big parties and events all over social media and the like. This shit ain't over, and pretending it's over is prolonging it, if anything.

Literally just came here to post that Blut Aus Nord album. Sounds like they've gone back into the Avant-garde/industrial spectrum with this new one. I heard some mutterings throughout the web that their next album would be Memoria Vetusta pt. IV, which of course had me very excited. New track is very cool though and still an instant pre-order for me.
