Greetings horn-siblings, I present to you Merhum, a gothic/black metal band from Smyrna, Turkey. I recently found an old EP while cleaning my loft, it's by this black metal band called Gholgeg. To my knowledge there was only ever released 50 copies of this, which is unfortunate, cus its actually really good! It was released in 1991 by two dudes who were credited as Xehrmrilk & Skull. "Thy Numinous Darkness" is very fierce brand of Finnish black metal sound, which follows the same tradition as such bands such as the bands like HORNA, SACRIFICIUM CARMEN and BEHEXEN, but with very strong sense of their own path and firm grip of their own touch. "Thy Numinous Darkness" will be released 20th October 2017 via Saturnal Records world wide. A vision that during the years of ripening has grown deeper and holistic with its misanthrophic outlook about Lucifer-Satan, Light and Darkness as a guiding force upon the members passionate interest towards darkness, occult, self-develoment and transcendental knowledge. The band worked in the deep underground for the first years of its existence, forging series of fierce demos and "Luciferian Engravings" (2011) EP that all led to a record deal with infamous french cult black metal label Drakkar Productions for the release of their long anticipated debut album. After ten years of the birth of AEGRUS, "Devotion for the Devil" (2015) was released in March 2015 and it was received very well among the critics and listeners with its very harsh and powerful Finnish black metal sound. This album is my favorite from this band. From start to finish it doesn't disappoint, if you like your black metal a little bit different this is definitely a good album to check out. I would like to hear peoples opinions about these guys. i'm yet to meet someone who listens to them haha

I have looked around, and there isn't a Discord server about Metal that isn't a private friends server. Discord is a great software, having almost perfected all the existing technologies for live chatting platforms, making it the one stop powerhouse for all your real time communication needs. Same as forums, They're both about bringing likeminded people closer, forming communities and friendships. But you can get a community only so close with a forum, since all you can do with it is to make posts and slowly discuss it through making comments. The usage of Discord became common for a lot of platforms around the internet, because it's real time, and stacked with lots of other tech. On August 31,, When Bitter Spring Sleeps will celebrate the return to underground metal with the stunning new full-length, Star-Thrown. While honoring WBSS' pagan black metal roots, Star-Thrown adds choral vocals, and space atmospheric elements to its underground sound. In a bold move, the vocals performed by Lord Sardonyx are now entirely choral in style, somewhat akin to a cloister of secluded monks. Combined with the black metal guitars and ethereal guitar synth leads, this achieves not an "orchestral" sound, but the feel of a sort of "Cosmic Cathedral". Star-Thrown creates a cosmic atmosphere without sounding like other atmospheric metal acts. Instead of cold, digital synths, only purely analog instruments are used to conjure all sounds on the album. Instead of screeching, or roaring vocals, a chorus of ethereal chants. The metal part of the music itself claims inspiration from acts like Summoning and Bathory. Mastering of STAR-THROWN was performed by the almighty Andrew D'Cagna, owner/engineer at Sacred Sound Recording and Mastering as well as member of such amazing acts as OBSEQUIAE, NECHOCHWEN, IRONFLAME, and COLDFELLS. When Bitter Spring Sleeps' Lord Sardonyx comments: "All previous WBSS albums contained unifying concepts told through mythical tales. The concept for Star-Thrown is much less specific, but all the tracks share my belief that nature does not end at the Earth's horizon. She is merely a part of the universe and all of Nature was previously part of dying stars. All of this will someday be destroyed, transformed, and reformed into new matter. When the mighty Earth is consumed by our dying sun, everything will be thrown to the universe on a possible path to rebirth as new lifeforms or merely inanimate matter. These songs tell a tale of destruction, transformation, and rebirth on a cosmic scale." "I am very pleased with the sound of the album. I believe it is the best sounding album I've done. You will not be destroyed by the crushing intensity of it, because that was not the intention at all. I strived to create a smooth, warm atmosphere that was also very powerful and uplifting.
