I’ve never heard of these bands either. We Lords of Darkness (or is it Lord of Darknesses?) can’t be expected to keep up with every Tam, Dot and Harriet who starts a black metal band. 
In fact it’s about time I got back into buying new black metal bands. My collection is more 1990s than Seinfeld. My collection is so 1990s it tucks its t-shirts into its jeans. My collection is so 1990s it parties like it’s 1999 etc.

Been on a real metal kick this past couple of weeks.  Found some new bands and got excited about rediscovering some old shit too.  Not been this excited at Metal for a while and I know when work kicks in again next week and I am away from home for most of the week other distractions will take over but still, a fucking good two weeks.

There's always Facebook if you're feeling really lonely... Although I'm sure we haven't seen the last of Relentless.
On my mind, we're nearly twelve hours into what's shaping up to be a fourteen-hour drive from North Carolina back to Massachusetts, and as much as the drive sucks, I have to say it's been better than I had hoped so far. It was fantastic to see my family - parents, brother, even my 96-year-old Grandma, still kicking. I can't believe it's been two years since I saw them all last. Also a real pleasure to catch up with a handful of good friends from high school, who all seem to be doing well. I skipped the actual reunion (which was also, coincidentally, this past weekend), but I saw nearly everyone I cared about. The only unfortunate aspect of the trip was that my son didn't get over his stomach bug and fever until Sunday, so he didn't have as much fun as he could have.
Now it's two and a half days of tightening up last minute details, and then a day of hanging out playing video games with my little buckaroo, and then I have to get all my paintings over to the gallery and hang my first solo show - the first and maybe the last time this body of work will be together in one place, as it should be. Eek!
