  1. Horrendous "Ecdysis" Definite Swedish DM influence but the dynamics and structures are much more than expected. Entertaining stuff.
  2. Swallowed "Lunaterial" Kind of like a more doomy/deathy Cultes Des Ghoules - brilliant.
  3. Spectral Lore "III" Spending today working from home so am going to catch up on some releases I have yet to pay attention too. This one has been on my radar for a coupe of months, it's full of power and melancholy at the same time. Perfect to have on whilst working.
  4. Necroholocaust "Holocaustic Goat Metal"
  5. Falls Of Rauros "The Light That Dwells In Rotten Wood"
  6. Overlorde "Return Of The Snow Giant"
  7. Frankenberry - looks like mutated genitals with goggles. Sugar Ray Leonard or Sonny Liston
  8. At the age of about 12 I heard Gary Moore "Over The Hills and Far Away" and absolutely loved it. Just played that track over and over again. Up until that point I had expressed zero interest in any music other than whatever my friends were listening to. A few months later I was round at my cousin's place and he lent me his entire vinyl collection including the first 7 Maiden albums, Rush "Moving Pictures", Saxon "Power and the Glory" and UFO "Strangers In The Night" among others. Saxon and Iron Maiden stood out the most from the selection and I promptly went out and bought the same 7 Maiden albums myself. The first record I bought blind was "Slowly We Rot" by Obituary, looking back I bought it more to shock everyone rather than because I had heard any of it already and liked it. I got to appreciate it's brilliance very quickly of course but at the age of 13 picking up that record and viewing that artwork with my "young, dumb and full of cum" mentality I was never going to not buy it!
  9. My father-in-law posted on FB the other week asking for anyone of his friends to go round and get rid of the spider in his bathroom because his gf was out all day and he is petrified of them and needed a wee. The man lives in Portugal so I doubt he got much response!
  10. Impetuous Ritual "Unholy Congregation Of Hypocritical Ambivalence"
  11. Electric Wizard "Time To Die" Possessed "Seven Churches" Saxon S/T
  12. Unproductive day yesterday. In fact the whole week has been a mish mash of training days and not much in the way of productive toil.
  13. Usually I just have a cat sat there, pawing at me for breakfast. Either that or she just sits on my chest
  14. It's October so no list from me yet. But the year has been a good year for new stuff and although I have had less time to spend with music there are some standout releases. In the face of the media telling us how dead the music industry is it's comforting to know that I find everything I need to satisfy my taste and appetite each year through Bandcamp, Big Cartel etc.
