  1. I've never considered the Master Of Puppets album to be a graveyard because of how close the crosses are and how long the grass around them was. I've always assumed it was more a memorial area, small crosses planted one behind the other to represent a total number rather than individual people. Given the lyrics of the song and that there is only two obvious military items in the image I've also assumed it's more about drug use, hence the hands pulling the strings from above controlling the user. But hey I've been wrong before I'm sure I'll be wrong again.
  2. They can be a bit weak if the mix is done wrong. There is actually some band pop people are raving about here, some pandemic thing that everyone seems to love who call themselves something about cordial, it could have been Lime, or it could have just been crap. Thrashwall
  3. Sepultura - Beneath The Remains
  4. Suicidal Tendencies - Controlled By Hatred
  5. Yeah that's a great song. I was a bit disappointed with their latest album. Opprobrium - Beyond The Unknown
  6. I've never seen Big Train, but I have been collecting Red Dwarf stuff since the days of VHS. I find that I tend to go through stages of following people rather than shows. It doesn't just happen with comedies, but using them as an example, I'll get the urge to watch Black Adder so I'll watch them and then watch whatever else I can find of Rowan's. Or I'll watch something with Hugh Laurie and then watch everything of his I can get. There are so many shows these guys did that I can spend ages just watching one person. Comedians like Sean Lock, Johnny Vegas and Bill Bailey are the same, I can get lost on Youtube just looking at clips of those guys. We do have some comedians like that In Oz, but many of ours don't translate well to an overseas audience. Tim Minchen however is an exception, he's brilliant, although often people do get offended by his chosen topic.
  7. Since it seems like Pommie shows get a decent run on these forums what are people thoughts on comedy shows? In many areas I think the Poms do it better than the Yanks. Shows like Red Dwarf, The Two Ronnies, Black Adder, even panel type shows like 8 out of 10 Cats and Would I Lie To You are shows that I regularly watch, most of the time in preference to more recently made shows. I don't mean to take anything away from the Yanks with their shows, they've had good shows, but it does seem like in this country shows from the UK, Scotland, Ireland etc, especially older shows are still on regular replay here and gaining new audiences all the time.
  8. They say if you have a job you enjoy you don't have to work for a living. I'm not entirely sure the smell of cowshit early in the morning is something I enjoy but it's definitely easier than many other jobs.
  9. Mine is a black acid wash demin jacket with a Master Of Puppets patch on the back. It also has smaller patches of Maiden, WASP, Megadeth, Warlock, Slayer and a few others. I don't think I've worn it since the early 90's at least. It probably doesn't fit now but it's still in near new condition.
  10. I'm not suggesting I'm immune from mistakes but that's a hell of a coninkydink that two of us made mistakes like that in a row. Heathen
  11. Exhorder - Slaughter In The Vatican
  12. Exodus - Force Of Habit As much as many people don't like it, I actually don't mind Force Of Habit. I can do without the covers but I like the original songs.
  13. I may not have gotten my kids fully into metal but at least one of them likes DragonForce!
  14. CUintheNT is a travel slogan here Curly Unicorns Never Try MAIL
  15. To be fair to my parents, I didn't and wouldn't have argued about being baptised, I was about 2 weeks old. I probably wore a Christening dress too because that was a thing back then, but I didn't argue. My mother would loved us kids to grow up more religious than we are, just like she did, but she knew that wasn't going to happen by the time we got into our teens. Even she's not as religious now as she claims she wants to be and only turns up to church a few times a year. Being forced to go to Sunday School back then was also different, Sunday morning Mum was in church and she needed to do something with us kids, and Sunday School was little more than free day care. I'm not against any religion, I'm only against the people who use it (any religion) to be crappy to each other. I have seen Father Ted, but when it comes to my religious viewing habits I'd rather watch Jimmy Swaggart! Haha only kidding, I'm more of a Vicar Of Dibbly fan.
