You want to play capitalism well then you have to pay employees more.  It's the laws of supply and demand.
Always find it hilarious capitalists (including small business people) want to get the big bucks but don't want to pay their workers for it.
And why is it OK for big corporations to jack up their prices but not for workers to demand better pay and conditions for their labour?
 
So people should put up with being treated like shit?
And the amazing thought that has never crossed the minds of senior executives including those in government - offer better service and you won't have as many angry customers.
But that involves investing serious money and probably some hard work by those executives.  And we can't have that.
It's cheaper to offer shit service and then have some crappy helpline to act as a safety valve and the illusion of doing something.
 
 
As for tradies near every tradie I know used to work 6-7 days a week. When it's not working on site, it's at home getting quotes, invoicing, servicing equipment, picking up supplies etc (probably like your life on the farm).  Most of that is unpaid work.  (And then one carpenter I knew being required to do some free work on his boss's house over weekend just to keep his job).
One builder I knew quit well before COVID and became a garden maintenance guy because he literally never saw his kids.
So I guess it's only fair they want some work-life balance.
What's wrong with that?  Why should we slave 50-70 hours a week?    In the 19th and 20th centuries people were literally killed fighting for better working conditions.
Why should people still keep working in shit conditions?  Why should they accept abuse from customers or employers?  Why should they do unpaid overtime?  Why should they let their bosses run their lives?
 
Also what do you think about this?  1700 illegally sacked workers just won a court appeal against QANTAS for their sacking. The airline was deliberately trying to water down their rights and protections.
Is that arrogant workers?  Or should the workers just suck it up and get lower paid jobs with the new contractors?

But more critically can you see why more and more employees no longer offer any loyalty to their employer?  The system is breaking down.  For every action there is a reaction.  Rich fucks rorting  workers and eroding their livelihoods over 30 years would eventually lead to those same workers thinking "fuck you". 
 
And with death of unions and collective bargaining in many workplaces, most workers are doing the only thing they can - silent quitting, ceasing to do unpaid overtime and taking advantage of the flexible working arrangements (eg lower hours) companies themselves championed for 40 years.

And besides, that dumbass from Taake brought that all on himself when he went on stage with a swastika painted on his chest. Like, if you're gonna go full provocative edge lord mode than you kinda have to eat the meal that comes with it. Obviously people aren't gonna want to have anything to do with some chud who thinks the Third Reich was cool, that ain't "cancel culture", that right there is actions having consequences. You don't get to pull the victim card because people react accordingly to literal neo-nazi insignia.

I'm trying my best to get into this one but it's making me realize just how far I've fallen out of love with the "new-school OSDM" style. If this came out in 2014-2018 I would've gushed all over it but it's a bit "too little, too late" for me now.

I'm digging this. Good Album.... but I ain't shelling out fucking 17 bucks for a digital album. Price gouging asshole labels/artists on bandcamp are basically the only thing keeping me from ditching my Spotify subscription.
 

Well to be fair it's been priced at £10 GBP, which converts to $12 USD, apparently $16.25 Canadian, and $17.50 AUD. Keep in mind the UK has been experiencing insane double digit inflation since Covid, fuel prices are up 20% people can't afford to heat their homes 'n shit. But yeah, $12 sounds just a little steep for digital.
But my digital purchases average out to under $6 each, so every now and then if there's one priced at $10 or $12 I figure it's not the end of the world, if it's something I really want of course. That said I haven't even heard the new Hellripper yet. And I haven't actually made my first 2023 album purchase yet either. Been laying low, trying to get my music spending under control this year. 
 
Ulthar - Anthronomicon, not sure what I think about this one. Everyone seems to be unanimously on board with it, but my first impression is it's a bit too technical for me. So probably not a purchase. Like the cover though.

Well that's a bit of a shock seeing as how you've been on the record slagging them off in the past. So now I guess I'll have to have a listen and see for myself. Not familiar with their previous material although I know I checked out their debut when it came out I just don't remember anything about it. 
Death metal of the brutal variety from Ohio. For the most part they do at least manage to avoid most of the worst deathcore tropes like pig squeals n stuff which is a good thing imo. Record sounds good and heavy, and the bass is featured prominently, lots of brutal chugging and some gurgling happening here but it seems to be a little light in the actual riffs department. A few tracks in it seems the snare sound could be an issue for me at times as well. I'm not gonna shit on this and say it's worthless garbage, there are some enjoyable moments here, but it's not something I'm tempted to buy. I've been known to listen to a little brutal death now and then, not a huge part of my musical diet but I probably pick up 2 or 3 each year that could fall into that bdm category. But this doesn't quite make the grade for me as far as the fun factor, groove, riffs and memorability are concerned. Strange how very mediocre examples of these niche sub-sub-genres end up being the ones to blow up and get wider noteriety. Almost as if there were no rhyme or reason to the universe.

Religions "look" after the poor to gain converts.  At the same time they support the power structures that keep poor people poor.
Indeed Mother Theresa was all about keeping the poor dreadfully poor and never did one things to empower them to rise from poverty.
In the 1940s-80s in Latin America Catholic priests would chum up with authoritarian governments and report on people looking to changes the power structures.  These people would then be murdered by death squads trained in the US run School of the Americas located in Fort Benning, USA.    (That school still exists but is now known as the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation.)
 
Here in Australia, the churches have transformed themselves into multimillion charity businesses.  They swallow huge amounts of government funding and then offer very little service.  I work in health and some of the reports show the "not-for-profit" sector including religious affiliated organisations only spend $0.30-$0.40 out of every dollar of government funding on actual service delivery.  Rest gets gobbled up in bureaucracy and executive salaries.
Churches also run many other for profit businesses on which they pay no taxes due to the corrupt nature of our tax laws (including a former musical instrument store here in Launceston).   
I was once (unwillingly) involved in the privatisation of a government run nursing home.  The head of the Presbyterian organisation that wanted to take it over openly stated they weren't interested in safe service delivery models but rather financially "sustainable" ones.
 
If our society actually empowered people and wasn't run as a glorified enrichment scheme for the already rich, the churches would have no work!
