I'm going to guess his ideal collaboration would be "locked in a basement together with a tape deck and a microphone".
My time and energy for music is more than spoken for at the moment, but I'd be interested to hear a forum collaboration if you guys do put something together.

I might be interested if it jives with my style. I'm by no means a good guitar player, but I have played black/thrash before and was able to hold my own with some work. I can also contribute vocals.

I'm with you on the "therapy" lately - it's been a bit difficult adjusting to our new place since we moved a couple of months ago, and somehow that's rekindled my appreciation for thrash, the faster and angrier the better. I can feel myself calming down as I listen to it.

I'm not sure what you'd call this but whenever I feel depressed or alone I always turn to metal. It's the best therapy I've ever had. It makes me so grateful for the artists who pour their hearts and souls into making music. I feel moved mostly by black metal, because I love how raw and real it is. But yeah, it's like an escape and a form of therapy for me. And yes, I can totally see how one would feel spiritual while listening to metal. Metal is my wonderland.

Mine was Rust in Peace by Megadeth. I was just a kid when I bought it. I had a crush on the drummer in my brother's band and he always wore Megadeth t-shirts so I was trying to impress him. But I actually liked it and my love of metal grew from there.

Hi everyone,
I'm Chelle. I'm here because I have no real life metal-head friends and that gets a little lonely.
I really love black metal, DSBM, folk metal, some death, symphonic, goth, some industrial, some stoner metal, some metal core, and of course traditional heavy metal.
I can't stand elitist metal fans who think they're special little snowflakes when they actually aren't. I can't stand when other women stare at me when I'm out in public with a band t-shirt on.
Things that I do like include: open minded people, down to earth chill people, cats, watching anything metal related while eating pizza or wings or nachos, working out while listening to metal, true crime books and documentaries, stormy weather, rainy days, hiking, the beach at night, all things dark and macabre, drinking the occasional beer (hate liquor and wine), and of course going to concerts as much as I can.

Hi there, 
I've been trying to play keyboard and a bit of guitar (because as a metalhead this is a must, right?) for about 9 months now. I can play some tunes, but with a lot of mistakes in it.
I think the reason for that is that I can't remember well how a tune goes, especially when it's just background chords (which is the case a lot in keyboards). 
Two things might be the problem here, first of all when i have a tune in my head, and i try to play it, it sometimes just changes in my head and it feels and sounds like i'm playing it correctly, but then it turns out i'm not, it does usually sound good, but it's not how it goes. 
Second of all, and this one is really annoying, is that I HAVE to play a song in order to be able to remember it, it's really hard for me to just remember it out of nothing. Now this isn't only the case with music though, it's a problem I have with remembering in general.. 

I could write the music down but i'm not good enough to figure out all the notes/chords and the most music I like to play is pretty hard to find music sheets of, and in the end i wouldn't like to be so used to just reading the notes (although this would be a better way to memorize it i guess?) 

Anyways, the reason i'm posting this is because i'm hopeful some of you are able to give me some tips, maybe link me a great video on this matter or something?

First album I heard was 'Cowboys From Hell' by Pantera. Have to thank my cousin for that one. Don't remember exactly how we wound up listening to that though.
 
First metal album I bought was either Cowboys or Trendkill don't recall which.
