  3. Thanks dude, I remember their album Griseus but hadn't kept tabs since then. I'll play this in a bit.
  4. For the record..new Aquilus album is out...FA, Mark, and Navy...if you dudes aren't familiar, I'd highly recommend Aquilus - Bellum II
  5. True, but it's 3 decades since they released anything, there aren't many fans that are anything but hopeful for something new. DA have toured the world several times in the last few years, they've spoken about a new album since 2013 when they reformed for live gigs only. Gene and Ron only write under specific conditions and they admit that doesn't happen often given they both have other priorities. At this stage a new album would be a bonus but no ones holding their breath waiting for it. NP: Dark Angel - Darkness Descends
  6. Malevolum - Veritas et Violentiam
  7. Opeth - Blackwater Park Opeth - Deliverance
  8. Gloosh - Timewheel, Russia 2020 Whoredom Rife - Den Vrede Makt, Norway
  9. Listened to it just once, but wasn't really passionate about what I heard.
  10. Played it once. Won't be playing it again. Would even disagree that it is "solid enough" TM. AI in any form of art can go fuck itself obviously.
  11. Yeah, I wouldn’t disagree. Solid enough, but a bit of an anti-climax after the insanely long wait (almost a year of teasing?) Think I prefer the last album, and I absolutely prefer the one before that. And if you’re going to sell your soul (pun intended) to AI art, you could at least pick an image that’s pleasing to the eye.
  12. Nightmarer - Deformity Adrift (2023)
  13. By keeping fans waiting and hoping, Gene will bore some of them, while for others, the desire for a new Darkness Descends will only lead to bitter disappointment when the new album arrives. If it ever arrives. Dark Angel's musicians are no longer 20 years old. And neither are their fans!
  14. Dunno about Forbidden but Gene's been talking up one of the big 'secret' projects that he quit Testament for actually releasing something in the next few weeks. He's currently on the road with Death To All and he still has a project he's working on with Laura. So unless he spends some time at home with Ron I can't see any thing from DA since he claims they only write when they are together. NP: Suicidal Angels - Division Of Blood
  15. Hekseblad - Kaer Mohren (2024) Darkthrone - It Beckons Us All (2024) Since yesterday, I've only been listening to these two albums. Two excellent surprises in this year of 2024, and even so, I'm expecting a lot from the next Akhlys. In fact, here are the releases I'm most looking forward to: Six Feet Under - Killing for Revenge - May 10 Nocturnus A.D - Unicursal - May 17 Cavalera Brothers - Schizophrenia revisited - June 21 Akhlys - House of the Black Geminus - July 5 Please note that Schizophrenia is for curiosity purposes only. For me, the original version is untouchable and no other will surpass it 🤘 I'd also like to see new records from Dark Angel and Forbidden, but I think they're both obsessed with surfing on the past...
  16. Machetazo - Mundo Cripta, Spanish deathgrind 2008 Machetazo - Carne de Cementerio, 2000
  17. LOOKING FOR AN ANSWER - Kraken LOOKING FOR AN ANSWER - Split The Suffering, Split The Pain
  18. Disturbed - "Ten Thousand Fists" Linkin Park - "Meteora"
  19. Mons Veneris - Ascent Into Draconian Abyss, Portugal Dark Plague - The Threshold of Death, France
  20. Yeah it was, 30 years ago. At this point it's just another sub-genre of dad rock.
  21. Wrathchild America - Climbin' The Walls
